[Katon] Fire with Akasha

Understanding each and every word coming out of senpai's mouth, Shinobu shakes of some lack and glances at senpai. Taking a couple of steps forward Shinobu begins to charge chakra to an extent where adequate. Applying nature manipulation to the chakra whilst flowing them towards her lungs, mouth and gullet, without hesitation speedily performs the required hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger. As soon as her hands untie, Shinobu applies shape manipulation to her katon chakra whilst blowing them as flammable gas out of her mouth, Shinobu notices the formation of a stream.

Too bad there were no fire source... Shinobu thinks as she gets into her comfy crouching position in wait of next instructions. "...Interesting nonetheless." she accidentally states out loud, but such a smooth tone where senpai probably hardly understands what it was she said.

Enquiring her eyebrows she gazed at her student. She heard a matter of sorts coming from her mouth but she couldn't quite understand what she was saying. ''Anything to say Shinobu?'' she modulated. However she did in fact continue with the next technique they were to learn. ''This next technique I am going to teach you can be use in many different ways. It can be either used a projectile of fire sent forth from your mouth or as a stream. Furthermore you can even focus fire into your limbs and use it from there which would felicitously aid you in taijutsu. However, what I need from you is actually to create a stream from your mouth. This being said, focus katon chakra within your upper body yet once again. Once there, release the said whilst applying processes of nature and shape manipulation. Nature as to generate fire and shape as to form a stream.'' she spoke with stentorian tone to her voice. Nodding her head she signaled her students that it was her turn to perform the technique.

Shinobu reddens a little and moves her aviators cap a little to cover her eyes in shadows. She ignores senpai's question and follows her next instructions instead. Shinobu takes a stand back up and takes takes a step to the left and takes a deep breath and holds it for a while. Generating the sufficient amount of chakra Shinobu applies nature manipulation and flows the katon chakra over to her mouth. Whilst the kaito chakra exits Shinobu's mouth blows after being blown out Shinobu applies shape manipulation, getting a stream of katon chakra.

It seemed that her student yet once again did the job proficiently. However, she did not compliment her by words. Rising her eyebrow slightly whilst giving a sideways-looking up smile she spoke with booming voice. ''Tell me what do you know about streams?''

Shinobu turns her body around, facing Akasha-senpai. Pulling her cap back a bit, and getting into her usually comfortable crouching position, she replies to senpai's question.

"Hmm... You need to be more focused with streams because they are constant, you need to supply streams with chakra continuously as if they are attached to them. With streams you can also change directions, and you can't perform any other techniques as you stream... From what I've experienced, they are like almost opposits of projectiles."

Shinobu continues to focus her eyes at senpai waiting for her response.

 

[Akasha]

She kept one of her eyebrows raised as she listened to her student. ''Indeed you are correct Shinobu. They are a complete opposite of so called projectiles that we learned before streams.'' Akasha gasped for a moment before so speaking in a modulated voice. ''Unlike projectiles they are constantly released from ones body which means a person has to constantly fuel his stream with chakra as to keep it active. Because streams are constantly tied to ones chakra they make it unable for one to perform another technique whilst he or she is streaming it unless of course they have a clone or an ally or anything that can perform a technique. But because they are tided to ones chakra they are let's say more controllable. Person can decide when he or she is gonna stop streaming his technique and in that way stop it. Person can also change direction in which he is releasing the stream. Unlike projectiles when it comes to creation of streams there is less shape manipulation involved and thus they usually cover larger areas.'' Firmly her glare was directed towards her student. "I hope this is not too much informations at once. Do let me know if there is anything you need explenation in and if not we can continue on with our lesson.''

Comfortably remaining in her crouching position, Shinobu looks away from sensei, and looks at the ground before her. As the breeze blew the grass, Shinobu knuckles her aviators cap and responds to sensei. "Hmmm, alright. It's okay I have no questions."

 

[Akasha]

''Good'' she probed. As if she was questioning her student. Nonetheless she continued with the next lesson. They finally reached next rank when it comes to this, oh, so magnificent element. ''This next technique is basically application of what we learned just now. And almost moment ago you performed similar one to it.'' she glared at her student. Taking a hefty breath she continued. ''Once again gather chakra within your upper body, mouth and gullet. With that done, release the said chakra whilst applying nature and shape manipulation. Nature as to generate flames and shape manipulation as to generate a stream.'' her vision shifted towards the ground before firmly being set yet once again towards her pupil. ''This time around, I need you analyze technique as well.''

Eyeing Akasha-sensei from looking at the grass dancing along the breeze, Shinobu nods her head. Standing up from being comfortable, she pats her knees then dress from dust, ready for the next rank of katon jutsu. Shinobu takes a deep breath whilst generating the sufficiant amount of chakra. She then flows the chakra towards her upper body, mouth and gullet. Shinobu releases the chakra, breathing out, in conjunction with applying nature manipulation forming katon chakra and applying shape manipulation forming a stream of the katon chakra.

Making an almost sulky face and narrowing her eyes, she turns her head to the left, and eyes the ground again. "I dislike analysing aloud..." She says witha very quiet tone and knuckles her cap three times with a bit of dissapoinment in herself. Eyeing Akasha sensei again and raising her voice a little, Shinobu asks... "Any specific information you want me add?"

 

[Akasha]

I am replying from my phone so bare with me.

Akasha smirked. Never till this point did she hear an answer like such. However it wasn't a reason that should be justified. She raised her eyebrow sligthly as she with a austere voice alleged. "Well I will need you to tell me how do you think would this jutsu be best utilized within a battle? What benefits do you see which come from this techniques and what are the drawbacks?" Not even for a second did her eye leave her students. They were firmly locked upon her body movement.

Shinobu starts to explain. "A simple offensive technique, could be greatly used in stressful, short-mid range situations as the stream could be helpful to get a better target to the opponent."

Shinobu sneaks her hand under the cap on her head and gives herself a good scratch.

...Thats about the only times I'd use it."

''Uhm, I see.'' her vision shifted onto her student. ''Yeah, it's a pretty simple technique, used in certain situations. I myself never used it within battlefield to be honest. Not sure why. Perhaps due to its rank. But who knows? The technique itself follows advantages and disadvantages of streams which we went over and I am quite sure you are knowledgeable off.'' Akasha continued on glaring at her student as she spoke. ''Now if you are specialist within fire element you will only need a single hand seal to perform this technique however, we are just learning this and I will need you to perform all the six hand seals it so consists off.'' She started maneuvering her hands and performing a set of six hand seals. Firstly she placed her hands so as to make a Snake hand seal which was followed by Ram one. After which she performed Monkey, Boar, Horse and ended the sequence with Tiger hand seal. ''You remembered which ones I performed?'' she said as she continued on speaking. ''As you are performing the set of hand seals, I'll need you to focus katon chakra within your upper body, mouth and gullet. With the last hand seal performed, I'll need you to place your dominant hand upon your lips as you make like a ring of your fingers and start releasing the previously gathered chakra. As you are releasing chakra, apply the processes which you learned till this point, nature and shape manipulation as to form a fire ball which can reach up to mid range.'' she started breathing slowly as she articulated ''What about this technique? What do you see as advantages and disadvantages of it? Do you see yourself using it within battle?''

The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

Taking a couple of steps back Shinobu begins performs the required hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger whilst gathering the sufficient amount of chakra towards her upper body, mouth and gullet. With the last hand seal performed, Shinobu bends her knees and manoeuvres her right hand towards her mouth, shaping her fingers like a ring and releases the previously charged chakra through. Whilst the chakra is being released Shinobu applied nature and shape manipulation getting a gigantic fireball right before her.

Straightening her stance, Shinobu replies. "Ahhh... pretty neat offensive technique and would be really helpful in mid-range combat. Just the amount of hand-seals could be a pain if its the only option you could use in a rough situation. Also the tiger seal at the end usually gives it away. But all in all I like it, and I'd use it but I'll need to be careful." o.o

 

[Akasha]

''Amazing job'' she spoke. ''You are indeed correct.'' Akasha continued. ''Let's get going onto the next technique.'' she glanced at her hand as she took a lighter from her pocket. Throwing the lighter in Shinobu's direction she modulated. ''For this next one I am going to teach you, I will need you to use that lighter. Gather chakra within the hand with which you are holding the lighter and release your chakra into it. Throwing the lighter, fire it up and then mold your chakra with fire of the lighter. Applying basic processes of nature and shape manipulation I'll need you to cause for the initial flame to burst into a wall which will be able to burn any small objects coming your way.''

Shinobu catches the lighter. She glances at the birds in the surroundings. Swifting to her left a little, she focuses chakra to her right hand and began to release the chakra into the lighter. As Shinobu manoeuvres her right arm for a throw, she flicks the lighter, setting its flames and quickly molds the chakra with the fire of the lighter. Thrown, nature and shape manipulation are applied hence the formation of a wall of flames right before her eyes.

Shinobu takes a deep breath. "Cool defensive technique. I really like the lighter part, it's cool. Only thing that isn't good is that it's a short range defence, so the possibility of it's usage is really low. To take advantage of such technique I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open and widen my memory for such a moment where the opponent offensively uses smaller objects in short range to occur."

Shinobu closes her eyes, ready to hear sensei's response.

 

[Akasha]

''Lovely'' she spoke. ''I like your way of thinking.''Let's get going onto the next technique.'' Akasha placed her fingers as to make a Tiger hand seal. ''What I need for you to do is the same. Make a single hand seal, Tiger as you focus katon chakra within your body. Releasing the said chakra from your body apply process of nature manipulation as to generate fire and shape manipulation to create a stream which you can further manipulate into differing forms. Such as rings of fire that run on the ground or circles of fire that hover through the air. Additionally, when performing this technique you can also stomp your foot onto the ground and release katon chakra and apply processes of chakra manipulation.''

Opening her eyes with a smile, Shinobu dashes back a little, giving herself more room. She then performs the tiger hand-seal and focuses katon chakra within her body. Releasing the chakra she applies nature and shape manipulation, forming a stream of flames around her. Stomping her foot on the ground the stream is manipulated into rings of fire, swiftly flowing across the grounds.

Looking across the battlefield, then back at sensei she was quite impressed. "I like it. Very straight forward, and a great jutsu for a single handseal. I'd limit its usage though because it does become quite harming and tiring."

''Quite great Shinobu.'' Akasha spoke. ''Before I continue on I'd like to ask you a question which concerns our training.'' Her breathing rather calm. ''Would you like us to increase the amounts of techniques I teach you at once? I can see you are quite knowledgeable, but I'd rather ask you firstly before making any decisions myself.'' her gaze was locked. ''I do not do this quite often but I'd like to give it a try if you are willing of course.''

As Shinobu plays with the material along her cap, she smiles at Akasha. "Why not?" she replies a moment after Akasha asked her the question.

 

[Akasha]

''Lovely.'' Akasha followed. Let's get going then. Taking few scrolls from her ninja pouch, she placed them onto the ground between the two. Bringing forth two scrolls, she hurled them towards Shinobu. ''Within the two scrolls I thrown as for you to catch are informations about next techniques we are to learn.'' Awaiting her student as to open them she continued. ''The first one as you can see requires quite a few of hand seals and also utilization of cord or any other object of the similarity.'' Akasha placed her hands as to perform a sequence of four hand seals. ''As you can read and also see what I performed, I need you to do but the same. Perform a sequence of hand seals which goes as follows. Snake. Dragon. Rabbit. And end it with Tiger. With the last hand seal done, you should release your previously gathered chakra from your mouth upon a cord which you either previously used as to catch your targeted entity or which is by a chance present on the battlefield.'' Akasha's gaze was locked awaiting reaction of her student. ''The issue which I see when it comes to this technique is how time consuming it actually is.''



( Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique

''Following the previous technique, this next one is quite easy and usually used in combination with earth release projectile type of techniques. This is as to increase capabilities of earth and hence make it much more devastating.'' A malicious grin widened across her visage. As if she was hiding something. ''It's quite an easy technique to perform, as it is a basic projectile one. Upon congregating enough chakra within your body release it from your mouth and gullet as you perform a single hand seal. Applying basic processes of chakra manipulation, create a vast number of bullets which are able as to reach mid range.''
