Brilliant! Let's continue on with a first C ranked technique.

Now the first technique of C rank that you are learning is a basic stream like technique. You do not need hand seals to perform it and it can reach up to mid range. First of all, gather katon chakra within your lungs as you make an inhale mixing chakra with the air. After doing so, exhale the chakra from your mouth and as you are doing that, use nature manipulation onto the chakra generating fire and shape manipulation as to form a stream. Because of the heatness these flames give, they are capable of making your opponent collapse.

Description: The user will create a small short flame at the opponent. This flame is capable of making the target collapse due to the heat of the technique. This technique requires no handseals.

Now tell me what is speed of performance when it comes to this jutsu as well as why would you rate it as such speed. When judging the speed of performance I'd like for you to take into account the amount of time it is needed for preparation of technique as well as time in which it reaches opponent. Hand seals take quite some time and thus make a technique slower to perform. Speed can be either Slow,Medium or Fast.

*I start to gather my chakra, and I convert it into katon chakra. When I inhale, the air I breathe stirs up the katon chakra that I’ve concentrated in my lungs. I exhale, focusing on nature manipulation to create fire. I breathe fire out, flames licking at my lips until I use shape manipulation and bring the fire under control. I form the fire into a stream, and it shoots forward. The stream propels until I restrict my chakra, forcing the stream to stop.*

Hm, I’m going to say medium for this jutsu. While it doesn’t have any handseals, this jutsu still takes time with accumulating chakra and using nature and shape manipulation. Plus, since this jutsu is a stream, the user has to take extra time to maintain the jutsu until the stream reaches the opponent. Then, the stream has to be cancelled in order for the user to follow up with another technique. So I ultimately say that this jutsu is medium speed.

Basically: ninja tools + Handseals are slower than jutsu with hand seals only, which is slower than anything without seals.

Things that can slow down the jutsu are as Shinta mentioned himself, hand seals, using some kind of weapons, stomping your foot onto the ground or using scrolls and so forth. Techniques that doesn't require any of these, but only focusing chakra within specific part of the body and using nature and shape manipulation usually fall into the category of fast ones. Tell me if you have any questions when it comes to it? I'll continue on with the next technique. If you have any questions feel free to ask. As you are doing so inhale the air around you molding it with chakra and once finished with hand seals form a ring with your thumb and index finger before placing it upon your mouth. Release the chakra from your mouth whilst using nature manipulation as to generate fire and shape manipulation as to form a fire ball that is capable of reaching mid range. Now although you performed it as a fire ball, this technique can also be used in one more way and that is by releasing a stream of fire that takes shape of a gigantic ball and can reach up to short range. The size of the jutsu vary depending on how you use it. If released as a fire ball it can reach mid range but it is smaller. Whereas if you release it as a stream, it will be gigantic yet can reach only short range.

*I create katon chakra from the chakra already present in my body, and I send said katon chakra into my lungs as I prepare for this technique. I inhale, weaving the Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse, and Tiger handseals. The air I breathe in mixes with the chakra I’ve created. Then I exhale, bringing my hand up to my mouth with my fingers forming a circle. I use nature manipulation, fueled by my thoughts of fire, to ignite a fire from the air and my chakra. Then, I use shape manipulation to thin the fire into a stream so that it passes through the circle I’ve made with my fingers. Once the fire passes through the hole, I continue to use shape manipulation to create a fireball. Since I’ve used the jutsu in this way, the fireball only travels up to short range before disappearing.*

Alright, for this jutsu, I’m going with medium. This time, the jutsu has quite the list of handseals, more than five. As for an advantage, the two forms the fireball can take makes this jutsu very flexible for use in battle. So the jutsu can vary from short to mid-range depending on what form the jutsu takes. As for a disadvantage, this jutsu has a list of handseals like I mentioned. So the speed of this jutsu is a bit slower, meaning that an opponent can use their own jutsu that doesn’t require handseals to avoid this jutsu.

For this next technique you'll need to use the lighter I just thrown you. Focus katon chakra within the hand with which you are holding the lighter before channeling it further into it. Open the lighter, as you lighten it up and throw in the air. As your chakra is focused within the lighter, manipulate it, using nature manipulation whilst molding your chakra with the fire from the lighter and shape manipulation as to form a wall.

Whoa! *fumbles a little, but catches it*

Okay, sounds good.

*I hold the lighter in my left hand, rubbing the cold metal with my thumb. I then cup my hands together, letting the lighter sit in my palms. I gather my chakra and focus it into my hands. I mold that chakra into katon chakra, and the katon chakra makes its way through the material of the lighter. I flick it open and run my thumb over the thumbwheel. It takes a few tries, but soon I produce a flame. I then throw the lighter up into the air.

Maintaining control over my chakra, I use nature manipulation to combine my chakra with the flame from the lighter. I release my chakra, making the fire much bigger. That’s when I use shape manipulation to form the fire into a wall. I continue releasing my chakra, letting the fire race in front of me. The wall is as long as it is tall, and it’s taller than I am. I then cut off my chakra flow so that the fire starts losing its fuel until it eventually burns out.*

Fast, definitely fast for this jutsu. Even though the user has to manipulate their chakra through an object, there are still no handseals to prolong the process. Once the flame of the lighter is manipulated, then the jutsu is just about over. I would certainly use this jutsu defensively to protect myself from oncoming attacks or objects. But as you said, I’d probably also use it with Hurricane Fist or another Wind Release technique to create a combo jutsu.

Sorry for late reply, I've been busy.

This next technique can be used in more then a single way. What I'd like for you to do is firstly perform a single hand seals, Riger as you gather katon chakra within your lungs. Upon doing so, release the chakra whilst using nature manipulation as to generate fire and shape manipulation forming a stream. As you are releasing the stream, I'd like you to form the ring around your target which will in this case be my clone. Other way of utilizing this technique is by forming a circle of fire that will hover in the air before reaching the intended target. Furthermore, you can form the ring around opponent on the ground by focusing chakra within one of your feet and stomping the said foot onto the ground and releasing the chakra before forming the flames which will run across the ground.

*I listen to Akasha and watch her as she creates a clone of herself. Akasha distances herself from the clone, giving me room to perform this jutsu. I decide how to utilize the jutsu against the clone, and at the same time, I gather my chakra. I convert it into katon chakra, imagining the ring of fire inside my head. Then, I inhale deeply, and I feel the katon chakra mixing with the air that I’m taking in. I weave the Tiger handseal.

Katon: Hibashiri! I think.

I exhale, focusing on the chakra exiting my mouth. I use nature manipulation to ignite the chakra into flames. A burst of fire comes out, and to bring it under control, I use shape manipulation to create a stream. The stream of fire rushes toward the clone, but before it reaches the clone, I form the stream into a ring of fire, like I pictured it in my mind earlier. It hovers in the air until it flies into the clone, making contact and causing the clone to disappear into a puff of smoke. I cut off the fuel to the fire, stopping the jutsu.*

Let’s see here. I want to say that depending on how you use the jutsu, the speed could be either fast or medium. Fast, in that there’s one handseal, and then you spew the flames from your mouth at the target. Or medium, in that the handseal is combined with the stomping of your foot, and after that, the fire goes toward the target.

An advantage would be combining this technique with a Wind Release technique, so that the fire becomes much stronger and more destructive. And a disadvantage is that this technique can only go so far; it’s short to mid-ranged. It wouldn’t be able to reach a target at long range.

I actually forgot to post one technique of D ranks <.<' Noticed it when I was working on a list for the training. Anyhow let's get back to that technique before continuing on with the next ones.

So the technique is based upon infusion of katon chakra into shurikens. First of all what I need for you to do is focus katon chakra within your hands as you take few shurkens from you ninja pouch. Now channel katon chakra further into the shurikens as you release them towards your target. Using nature and shape manipulation onto chakra with which you infused shurikens make them ignite as to cause extra damage once they hit your target.

*I nod along as Akasha explains the next set of instructions. After she does, I decide to use one of the trees nearby as a target. I turn toward it and press my hands together, collecting chakra there. I change that chakra into katon chakra as I picture the tree I've chosen become consumed by flames. When I can feel that katon chakra pulsing through my hands, I use one of them to reach into my ninja pouch, grabbing several shuriken. I infuse them with katon chakra before I throw them at the tree.

When they reach a certain point between me and the tree, I focus on my chakra and use nature and shape manipulation on the shuriken. Go!

I release my chakra even more with a sudden burst. The shuriken are clearly affected because out of nowhere, they are ignited and set on fire. They hit the tree and become embedded in its bark. This causes pieces of the trunk to break off and become charred black. The flames from the shuriken spread and set fire to the entire tree.*

Welp for this next technique you will have to have a long object of sorts that will conect you with your target. That can be a cord or something similar. Upon placing the basis, which is the cord that is connecting you with your target what I need for you to do is actually perform a sequence of 4 hand seals, Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger, whilst at the same time focusing katon chakra within your upper body. Then, release this chakra from your mouth along the cord whilst using nature manipulation as to generate fire and shape manipulation to form a stream. This technique is usually used as to effect opponent's upper body.

( Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.

*After listening to Akasha-sensei carefully, I look around for another tree to use as a target. When I set my sights on the one I want, I start by reaching into my ninja pouch, which I keep tied around my right leg. I pull out some trip wire and a kunai. I tie one end of the trip wire to the handle of the kunai. I put the rest of the trip wire back into my pouch as I gather my chakra and mold it into katon chakra. Then, I throw the kunai at the tree, keeping ahold of the other end of trip wire. The kunai buries itself into the trunk of the tree, and I bite the trip wire, trapping it between my teeth. With my hands free, I weave the handseals Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, and Tiger. I inhale through my nose, feeling my katon chakra mixing with the air I breathe in. I clamp the trip wire between my index and middle fingers.

Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu!

I exhale, my breath escaping as a hiss through my teeth. I release my chakra along the trip wire, and I use nature manipulation to ignite a fire and shape manipulation to create a stream. The stream of fire rips down the length of the trip wire until it reaches the kunai and the tree. The upper half of the tree is engulfed in flames. I spit out the trip wire because the metal that it’s made of gets too hot and starts to burn my lips a little. I watch as the branches and leaves of the tree are burned completely.*

Okay. Well, I really like this jutsu because of the video clip you used as an example. I thought it was a very original technique, since I had never seen chakra used through such a weapon as a cord or string between the user and his/her target. This was a katon technique that I hadn’t seen either, so I like that this katon technique was more of a stream technique as well, instead of a projectile technique.

The speed of performance, I would say, is medium. This technique involves four handsigns, plus sending the flow of katon chakra through a weapon, especially a long one such as a cord or string.
