Fire Training with Keotsu!!

So, you'll be my first proper student as a Sensei, and since you're a Genin, that means I'll be teaching you up to D-rank Techniques.

So, since you've chosen Katon as your first element, please tell me everything you know about Katon in relation to the Naruto universe, and tell me a few things you know about fire in general.

Please give me your own knowledge; I'd rather see where you stand than have the wiki regurgitated at me. ^_^

Katon is mostly used in konoha because of the land of fire.

Examples of Fire jutsus:

Fire style fireball jutsu.
Amatarasu.

Katon is also very hot.The uchihas is the clan that uses it most.Fire style phoenix flower jutsu is one their main fire style moves that they use.

Katon is a standard elemental release, being one of the five main elements, and is also a Yang, or "Life" element. Being Fire, it is strong against Wind, as the Wind simply adds more oxygen (fuel), which allows it to continue burning. And, as one would guess, it's weak to Water.

Most fire jutsu tend to be short-mid range in our RP, though a few very useful long-range ones exists. Besides the very dangerous property of just being fire, Katon jutsu hold a lot of offensive promise, as some of them explode, create magma, or other such things.

Like most Yang elements, Katon is a primarily offensive element.

*Forming a few handseals, I demonstrate the Fireball technique.*

As you can easily feel, there is a lot of heat, and therefore energy, in these techniques.

Here, sit next to the fire I have created, and try to tell me aspects about it that may be useful for trying to create Katon chakra.

*I walk silently but quickly over to the fire Keotsu Sensei started and sit by it.I stare into the fire and notice ashes rising from it that could be dangerous for the enviroment.
I also see that it has a red/orange color to it reminding me of lava that cause mass destruction.I hear the crackles of the fire and it quickly reminded me of fireworks soaring through the sky.*

You're on the right track, but give it a bit more.

You've got destruction, and fireworks, which are violent.

What do these two things have in common? What even causes fire to happen?

Well fireworks can cause destruction to surronding forests that could ruin animals habitats.Which is just like destruction.
Fireworks start by Putting a flame on gunpowder just like a weapon.
Fire starts by mixing oxygen and And something that is on fire.
Plastics and other flammable objects could cause wildfires.

A wildfire can either be Man-made or nature-made.A simple ash from a cigarrette bud could cause a wild fire.Wildfire are very hard to put out.The only way to put them out is by using water AKA Suiton.

xd You were on the right track, but you deviated the wrong direction.

Movement.

That's what I was looking for. ^_^ Fire, which is chaotic energy, is essentially movement.

When you focus your chakra to create Katon, not only do you need to try and make it hot, you need to make it semi-chaotic, to represent the burning energy within it.

Why don't you try and meditate on that for a bit, and then we'll see if your chakra does what it's supposed to.

(Aka, describe in detail, on how you'll meditate to make your chakra take on fire like properties.)

Run your chakra through this; if you've done it right, the paper should burn. If it does, then we can move on and I'll teach you the fire techniques.

Very nice, so now we can begin.

The first jutsu is:

( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user shoots balls of fire at the opponent.

This jutsu doesn't require handseals.

And thus, this jutsu is basically the same as every jutsu we will learn from here on out. xd Katon is extremely repetitive, so I will require a fair amount of detail on this simple jutsu, but after this, you can basically paraphrase the same thing.

As far as battle goes, the usefulness of this technique depends solely on you; if you have the opportunity or the ingenuity to make use of this jutsu, than certainly do so.

So, this jutsu is done quite simply: while filling your lungs with oxygen, you'll infuse the air with your Katon chakra. Upon exhaling it, you'll use your chakra to ignite and sustain a flame, which will then use the air and chakra to fuel itself to grow larger. You'll need to be descriptive in your explanation of your infusing your chakra into the air, and the ignition of the fireball with said chakra.

But, otherwise, give it a shot; shoot a fireball. ^_^
