How to Defend:You can't, muahahaha. Or i guess if you used some god forsaken Suiton barrier of some kind.
How to Counter:Is there a such a thing as Water rasengan? Cause that'd be the ultimate counter xD.
Advantages:1. Powerful. 2. Badass.
Disadvantages:Only Short-range, and you can't conjure up a Rasengan in an instant
Combinations:I'd say binding jutsu would be a good combo, also/or a trap jutsu.
Question:Can you make two flame rasengans at the same time?(Having one in each hand)

Katon: Bakuryūgeki) - Fire Release: Exploding Dragon Strike

Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user through use of one their scrolls will summon a large flame dragon that is directed towards the enemy target and explodes upon impact.

How to Attack:By using a scroll the user conjures up a flame dragon, which is locked on target.
How to Defend:Sabotage the scroll.
How to Counter:Maybe creating pillars or a wall(doton) so that the dragon explodes on that instead..
Advantages:It's a mobile attack.
Disadvantages:You might get scared of the dragon you summoned . Also it requires a scroll.
Combinations:The SCROLL!

Damage Points: 60
Description:The user will create a ‘Wind Style: Rasengan’ in one hand, and ‘Water Style: Destruction Torrent’ in the other. By combining them, he will create a tornado of water that can be used to attack or defend. This jutsu can also be used to drown out wind and fire combos
Note: No water source required.

It's a combo of sorts, but there is the perfect counter jutsu that you gave and it also covers to mid range as well.
Now to answer your question, no atleast in my personal opinion, because if you think about it, you can't create a rasenshurkien in both hands so then why would the flame version of the rasengan be any different.
For your second question, I believe that you just simply state that you pull out a scroll of sorts right before using this jutsu, it's what I do.

This right here is I think my second favorite fire jutsu and i personally spammed this when i only had like 2 elements mastered in my noob days lol (yea bad advice i know, but true xD). There is honestly not much to this jutsu other than it being a very large wall of flames lol. To Better explain it I provided a link of the picture below.

(Katon: Gōka Messhitsu) - Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction

Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth in a massive stream of intense flames. The technique has an enourmous range and can cover a huge area. When it was used by Madara Uchiha, the massive scale of the technique was such that, in comparisson, his incomplete Susanoo seemed small.

This is basically a wider and longer version of Great Fire Majestic Annihilation without the added horse handseal, meaning that it's a stream rather than a wall like the first jutsu, but everything else is pretty much the same (as with many fire techs). I sorta mentioned this 2 lines ago lol, but do keep in mind that this jutsu has a long range versus the medium range limit of the first which makes it in some peoples eyes superior.
Oh and this is my favorite fire tech

Advantages:Almost impossible to dodge.
Disadvantages:Uses up a large amount of chakra. Cannot be used in Long-range?
Combinations:I guess a widespread futon attack would boost it.
Question:Why doesn't it work in long-range? O_O

How to Attack:As mentioned, pretty much the same(except no need for handseals). The user gathers up immense amounts of katon chakra, and exhales it through his mouth.
How to Defend:Throw a masterball? Now, but i guess the same thing as i mentioned. Don't know if a S-ranked doton wall could withstand this though.
How to Counter:Maybe the same jutsu again? Suiton - Suijenheki.
Advantages: All ranges. No handeals, so quick and extremely lethal.
Disadvantages:Are there any? Except that it uses up a large amount of chakra indeed..
Combinations:Would be a binding jutsu/trap jutsu so that the opponent cannot escape.
Question:Is there no limits to this jutsus badassness? xD

First jutsu
I would have to say that a Doton wall could work and perhaps halt the flames (it will be super heated regardless), but your best bet would still be a suiton wall/blast/counterattack since it will help cool down the intense flames (A rank suiton will cancel it out while a S rank suiton attack will continue to head towards your opponent at a lower rank).
Now going to what you mentioned of it not going to long range, I suppose that's correct and true and you may very well fight in a fight that starts out at a long range, however that is rare (atleast for me), most of my fights take place mid range which this jutsu covers, so in other words you're good O_<. One thing I liked about your combo description is that you mentioned that you could use a wind attack to fuel your fire, which is very, very well put and i'd like to provide a link that helps you in thats good not only for fire, but your other elements (you may have read the link who knows lol)

"The way I see the fire and wind clashing is like putting too much air into a flame, it won't do any good. However, when a wind jutsu merge from behind it only add to both jutsus momentum, reinforcing each other. I can't think of a jutsu getting stronger as he clashes with another one and loses speed. I know Fire is the elemental weakness of wind, but we shouldn't see it as fire and fuel. Air is only good for fire in certain proportion, let's not forget that."

Second Jutsu

Yep, Suiton - Suijenheki is a good defense as it holds an elemental advantage over both of these techniques and is also an S rank which means that it would overpower it due to once again it's elemental advantage of water.
And no there is no end to it's badasssnnnessssss, IT'S A CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May you spam it forEVER!!!!!!!!!! lol jk .... jk or maybe not xD

One thing that differs this jutsu from the last 2 that you did is that you can change and manipulate it's nature a bit. Now what I mean by that is obviously not say change the very fire into something completely different like water or whatever comes into your mind (lol how i wish that was true, SUPER OP), but what i mean is that you can make it extremely skinny stream (almost like the Katon: Gōka Messhitsu first jutsu from last post) or like a wall like Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku. It's almost like a hybrid of the last 2 techniques we've done and it's all up to you

How to Counter:I wouldn't recommend using Mukoton here xD. But yeah, same as above. You should also be able to counter it by trapping the opponent in a genjutsu? Or using S/T jutsus x)
Advantages:It's badass. Deals a great amount of damage, and can evaporate water sources. You can shape it <3
Disadvantages:Uses up a great amount of chakra, can't be used in long-range and if the opponent is a master suiton user, the user is doomed..R.I.P..
Combinations:By being able to shape it you should be able to combine it with wind gusts. Maybe you could even comine it with a suiton attack(a relatively weak one) to create a boiling offensive..

I know lava is hotter and in theory should overpower the fire or something, but i personally have no knowledge of lava attacks so i can not say for certain.

And yes or you usually start from mid range all together lol, but i don't know, i guess i may be a little biased towards mid range since that' my prefered range really, you may be different than I.

Actually no lol, especially if your opponent used the fire technique first because you can not interrupt your opponents first move before he or she makes it. I don't know if you recall the suna tourny finals about a few months ago (don't know if you even paid attention lol, I was known as Theleader btw) but yea my opponent tried to interrupt my chidori thunderstorm by putting me into a gen and stopping my chidroi by binding me into a gen, well that didn't work and he still got hit by my chidori and the same thing would happen if you say used a binding genjutsu jutsu or blinding or w/e before this or any first attack.

Hey it's no problem man and to answer your question I guess if you kept running and running and stated that you run towards your opponents short distance then you would reach it, but then ask yourself why would you run foolishly towards your opponent with your average speed and without stating a defense ( by average speed i mean a speed that's not enhanced by leg weights or gates and such, you know normal people like us ). So yes you can run towards your oppoent and reach short range, but I wouldn't suggest it.
