Fire and earth is usually lava release. But i guess it's possible if you can control sand like gaara.

but yea, manipulating sand isnt different enough from basic earth release to constitute a new kg because thats molding 2 chakra natures[pure chakra with nature affinity] together rather than melding the applied results of those 2 chakra natures [fire + sand to get glass] together , but you get points for thinking outside the box
