What is the benefit of surrounding your opponent like this?

And the benefit of encircling your target in this fashion is a concept known as zoning. Zoning is controlling your opponents movements, either restriction there overall movement or by moving them to an area of the battlefield that suits you better.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with a suitable wind technique to release a massive inferno.

Perform the Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger hand seals after your throw a kunai at that tree, with a cord attached to it. Hold onto the cord as you perform the hand seals and breathe a stream of fire across the cord, where it explodes in a large flame when it hits the tree.

Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

Gather a large amount of fire chakra in your chest and then exhale a stream of fire, then direct it to surround my clone in sprialling manner, from the ground upwards, and burn him to a pile of ashes.

*I begin to concentrate my fire chakra into my hands and release it, making it shape into a ball and increasing it's size to make it slightly larger than a basketball, then, I get in position to throw it and aim a little above his shoulder and at his ear to make it seem like it's not going to hit and throw it a little more to the side than what I had aimed. As the ball gets near, it burns his ear* o.o

I through it at his ear because he would think that your clone would think it'd miss but then I burned his ear :scorps:

Good strategy, that would also leave him deficient in hearing in that ear. Something you can use to your advantage later on.

Perform the Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger hand seals as you gather our fire chakra within you, releasing them as a giant blast of fire, shaping it to look like a dragon. Once the dragon makes an appearance, cause the flames to split into three small sections, one to arc around to the left; one to arc around to the right; and the last one to attack my clone head on. Make all three fire balls strike my clone at the same time.

What is a good wind jutsu to use either in conjunction (By a clone if you could make one) or use close to the time the fire balls reach my clone. Note that the fire is b-rank.
