well katon is the fire release of the 5 basic elements alot of ninjas use it at the fight especially the Uchiha clan ninjas like itachi and sasuke ,a small amount of it can burn big forest , Amaterasu is a common name of fire release which the Uchiha clan use it and its the highest level of that release sasuke used it on his fight with itachi you can do it by the Tiger hand seal .
