But that's not how it works. Their names were probably Uchiha and Senju to begin with. The names we adopt as our surname were once someone's first name.

OP, thanks for a great post.

You've made many good points and in many ways I agree. However I do not think that the sage's parents were Uzumaki and Hyuuga. I think the sage himself was an Uzumaki and his wife was a Hyuuga. Infused with the Juubi's chakra, their children were known as the Senju and Uchiha. The Senju keeping the dominant traits of the Uzumaki and the Uchiha keeping the dominant traits of the Hyuuga.

Since it has been foreshadowed that Naruto is a reincarnation of the SO6P, this would play very nicely into the fate of Naruto being the Juubi jinchuuriki and Naruhina as well. And could also be a way for Naruto to make amends with Sasuke. If Uzumaki+Juubi+ Hyuuga children = Senju and Uchiha, then if Naruto becomes the Juubi jinchuurki and has children with Hinata, the Uchiha clan can be reborn in a new untainted generation. Thus giving Sasukes his goal of allowing the Uchiha an opportunity to restore their name.

Never said they did. But they do Descend from him. I find it intriguing that Obito states in his battle against Konan that he is the embodiment of two of the six paths, what he meant by that IDK, but it's interesting.

That's because it is a mutation. Or at least I think so. Reread the last part of my thread. If the So6Ps was half Hyuuga and he possessed the Byakugan before he sealed the Juubi inside of him what would it look like once the Juubi was inside him? I've noticed that Sharingan can be activated and deactivated at will but the Byakugan makes all Hyuuga clan members have those tell tell white eyes, same with the rin'negan. It appears it can't be turned off. But that's neither here nor there, the point I'm making is there is a strong possibility that I'm right, tha Madara lied to Obito who in turn passed along the lie as if it were true (believing it himself).
If all you need to "awaken" the Rin'negan is both Uchiha and Senju DNA why didn't Danzo unlock it?
I just don't buy it. Hell Kishi already threw us for a loop (well you guys anyway) when he revealed that Tobi was not Madara. If a character starts out telling lies then it's prudent to assume they will continue to lie, simple logic.
