I think we all forgot a key part of Sasuke. He spent five years training in Konoha after the massacre, meaning he was and should have been extremely beyond Naruto and Sakura. I personally think VOTE1 should be redone. I want to see everything Sasuke learned over those five years of hard work.

He was too talented to have only mastered three fire jutsu

Clearly that isn't the case. Naruto won in making his point. Sasuke faptards should be thankful towards Naruto and plot itself, otherwise things would've gone differently and Sasuke would most likely be dead.

If anyone of the two is fodder, it's obviously Sasuke. He's inferior after all. The point was that Naruto proved Sasuke wrong by being able to scratch his forehead.(Good thing he took Naruto's word and put on his forehead protector) Wonder what would happen if instead Naruto aimed at his face or torso. Both would be unconscious and Kakashi would take both back to the village. However, plot couldn't allow that. Sasuke needed to go to Oro, so him being the one to walk out of Vote 1, was predetermined by plot. Like I said, Sasuke faptards should be grateful for Naruto's and plots mercy on the poor young Uchiha.

We never see characters give it their all. It's just just exclusive to Sasuke.

Hell I'm not advocating sides to try to push your narrative away, but Kishimoto had Naruto learn one elemental ninjutsu in his life time, and he spent all of his skills are empowering his Rasengan usage. No versatility at all in the grand scheme.

I feel like versatility is not a good part of Kishimoto's writing style. He prefers spam.

5 years as a little kid made him top of his class but it's very clear how Naruto catches up to the likes of Sasuke, Neji and Lee over the timespan of part 1. 5 years of kiddy training helped him get a strong adult ninjutsu but can't be expected to help him win a battle by the time he 1v1s a kid who surprised/blasted Kabuto Yakushi, Neji, trained with Jiraiya and battled Kimimaro without dying.

Valley fight 1 was perfectly balanced with Sasuke dishing out most of the technical hurt whilst Naruto continues to be the #1 most unpredictable ninja to get in his hits. It's also important to remember Naruto is almost bloodlusted during this encounter, definitely more emotionally involved than we're used to.

Power scaling was A* transparent in Part 1, those years gave Sasuke an early boost that naturally stopped being relevant when the kiddy days ended.
