i think that even though you lose your shinigami powers when you use it, whoever gets hit with it also loses their shinigami powers. like when aizen's zanpakto was crumbling, his sword was dissapearing because his shinigami powers were fading away also (ichigo's sword was already gone). the reason why the hogyoku rejected him was because he didn't have soul reaper powers anymore.

Yes, they did. I really don't think that the Final Getsuga had anything to do with it, apart from it being powerful enough to weaken Aizen to a point that Urahara's bakudo could take affect. Could be wrong, but I don't see why to believe otherwise at this point.

Ichigo didnt lose Zangetsu his Zanpakuto... He became the living sword itself by becoming its incomplete true form Getsuga. That whole black and purple essence, wrappings, long black hair and Reishi swords was his Zanpakuto. If you payed attention to his abilities, his Zanpakuto covers his body amplifying everything he does in terms of speed and brute strength and acts like armor. It changes its look every stage it improves. He had a standard Shinigami robe for Shikai, he had a Coat at pretty much Captain level strength Bankai, his second form Fullbringer Arc Bankai was pretty much almost Captain Commander strength with a slightly different look and his sword changed appearance as well, when he used FGT he fused with his sword and got that look when he disabled Ascended Aizen.
