Final fight's secret?

I think that madara vs hashirama's rematch has a purpose to reveal a secret. In my opinion madara was never defeated by hashirama. He planned the whole fight just like itachi planned for sasuke.
Madara had a purpose in that fight. I believe it may relate to uchiha tablet somehow. But i can be wrong. So what do you guys think?

was it stated that he fought for his dna becoz i don't remember it...! And madara getting owned is your opinion because hashi claimed that he killed his friend then how can he survive. There was something going on.

It may be that he needs something else from him or that he will get in the way if he let him continue existing. so taking him out would be ideal for him.

Madara definitely lost that fight, he had to use a ridiculous genjutsu to seek an opportunity to escape from Hashirama so he wouldn't die. Yes he could have planned to get Senju DNA to advance his eye prowess to the rinnegan (this could something that could be revealed during their rematch) in the process but their is no doubt he got stomped during that fight. I think the fight will symbolize something for Naruto and Sasuke though on where things went wrong.
