Hi guys, its me Blitz3d again. I am currently having a difficult time trying to defeat Seymour after escaping the Via Purifico. He has a partner which casts Tier 1 magic (Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Water) and Seymour can cast Tier 2-3 magic (Multi-Fira, Multi-Blizzara, Multi-Thundara, Multi-Watera, Banish, Break). Whenever I send in a summon (e.g Bahamut or Ixion), he always says "Death awaits you!" and then he casts Banish which instantly KO's my summons. I always cast the "Nul-" elemental spells and activate my trigger commands but I can't beat him still :(. Hints and tips please? :D

P.S - Anyone who helps is awesome :)

Auron, Lulu, and Yuna. Let Yuna cast her Nulls while you pummel him with Auron strength, occasionally attack the partner with Lulu's magic, and have either Tidus speedily attack Seymour, Rikku additionally pummel the partner and Seymour with multi-attack items or if you have a seasoned Khimari, pummel Seymour with him as well. I beat him Tidus's haste ans cheer allowing Lulu to use multiple spells, Auron dealing ****loads of damage faster and Yuna coming in and out to keep the party healthy and protected from most of their magical assaults. Good luck bro.

Let me break it down for you again haha. Tidus, Auron and Yuna can trigger command to boost their str and mag def at the start. Seymour himself will only use the fur multi-elemental attacks to attack two of your characters and the mortibody will use elemental spells on all of your characters so don't even bother using nul spells. Once Seymours hp drops below 24000 he will use protect once then break to try petrify you. Without sufficient protection against petrification it is useful to use your aeons in this stage to at least get one attack in before he banishes them. Once below 12000 hp he will start using flare but you can use reflect on yourself to negate this. You can also cast reflect on Seymour so that the mortibody will heal you instead of seymour but that will mean you can't use magic on yourself. Similarly attacking the mortibody will make him absorb health from Seymour so this can be a good strategy too.

It's worth noting that the highbridge area before the boss fight is the best training area in the game next to the Omega dungeon and I often spend a few dozen hours grinding my characters here to make the rest of the game easy. Worth considering anyway.

the highbridge area is kinda challenging for me cause like theres the enemies that levitate and use cannons and cannot be hit until you take out the enemy that is the closest to you and their attacks do roughly 1200-1700 damage to me and one of the enemies that hop on one leg that kicks you keeps using a move that inflicts Eject on my party :L

For training on the highbridge use weapons inbued with water attacks such as tidus' brotherhood sword. Wakka is bound to have something with waterstrike on it. Water magic is not effective though unless your Lulu has ridiculous magic so stick to slash and bash. Also that enemy will only use that kick move if it is the last remaining enemy so just kill it first then target the rest. trust me you can get so many grid levels here its way worth it
