Bouken: "Ah shit guys! Were going down! Damnit! The engines are failing. This is going to be a rough landing! Hold on!"
Bouken pulled the ship towards the nearby planet and went through the atmosphere. The ship was falling way too fast. The ship was heading straight for an open field, not a bad spot for a crash landing.
Bouken: "Here we go guys, hold on to your underwear! This is gonna be rough!"

Chapter 5: The Child of Prophecy
The Doragon slammed into the ground and slid for a distance as long as 3 Bristleball fields. If finally came to a stop after it slammed into a very large oak tree. The windows were shattered and the left wing had been ripped clear off. The ship left a scar in the ground that was 10 feet deep. Smoke was seeping out of the ship from almost every crack and the ship was covered head to toe in mud. There was no movement within the ship.

Kouji woke to the smell of chicken ramen and a cold rag on his forehead. He was confused at first and unaware of where he was or what happened. The memory of the crash came rushing back into his mind and he shot up. A sudden burst of pain ripped through his ribs and he looked down to see his chest covered in bandages. He looked around but Bouken and Muzai were nowhere to be seen. The room he was in was very small and the walls were plain brown wood with a dome ceiling. The ceiling had a small hole in the middle where smoke from a fire in the middle of the room was seeping out. Kouji's head was throbbing and he was having trouble breathing, he had always heard the saying "I feel like I've been through a ship crash" but now he actually knew what it felt like. He collapsed and went back to sleep.
Kouji awoke several hours later to the sound of a woman humming a relaxing melody. He sat up with a cringe and grabbed his ribs.
Woman: "Oh....you're awake, good!'
Kouji: "Ugh.....where am....I?"
Woman: "You're in my humble adobe, heh, I hope you like it."
Kouji: "How did I get here?"
Woman: "We heard the crash, when we got there you and your friends were in pretty bad shape. You're lucky to be alive you know!"
Kouji suddenly remembered Muzai and Bouken and fear overcame him.
Kouji: "BOUKEN AND MUZAI! WHERE ARE THEY!?"
Women: "Heh......don't worry little one. You're friends are fine. The girl is just in the other room. But that big guy, hes a tough one alright! Hes already working on your ship! heh."
Kouji: "Is Muzai alright?! I have to go see her!"
Kouji jumped up but fell to his knees from the pain in his ribs.
Women: "Careful little one! Your ribs are broken. Don't worry about the girl, shes okay. She broke her arm, but shes resting. You need to get some rest yourself! Here, have some of this ramen I made for you. Its from an old family recipe! It helps accelerate the healing of wounds heh!"
Kouji sat down and began to eat the ramen. It was delicious.
Kouji: "Wow this is so good......oh how rude of me, here I am in your house and I don't even know your name!"
Woman: "Heh, my name is Nisou. What would be the name of your companions?"
Kouji: "My name is Kouji, the girl in the other room is Muzai, and the big oaf fixing the ship is Bouken."
Nisou: "Ah hah. So what happened out there?"
Kouji: "We got caught in an asteroid storm, and got hit. We had to make an emergency landing......here.......by the way, where would here be?"
Nisou: "Oh, this is the planet of Tomoshibi, named after the God of Light. You are familiar with the old religion aren't you?"
Kouji: "Ummm....well not really, my family wasn't very religious."
Nisou: "Hmmm....what a shame, the old religion is really something! heh. But tell me, what were you and your friends doing all the way out here?"
Kouji told Nisou about what had happened to Charidol and the rest of his family.
Kouji: "So....I've decided to put a stop to this whole endless cycle...I will stop the Trinexus!"
Kouji had that glow in his eyes, the same glow he had when talking to Muzai back into the hospital. Nisou smiled.
Nisou: "I see! haha! Come with me boy, there is something I want to show you."
Kouji: "huh?"
Nisou: "Hurry up now! I have a small chapel behind the house, there is something we need to see! This is exciting! Very exciting indeed!"
Kouji and Nisou got up and began to walk to the back of the house. They went into the backyard and a small wooden chapel was there. They entered the chapel which consisted of one underlit room with a giant mural of the old gods behind and altar. Below the mural there were 7 unlit candles with 7 different symbols above them. As soon as they entered the room, the middle candle lit.
Nisou: "Oh my! This is so incredible! Kouji, its time for you to learn about the old gods. Long long ago before people, before solar systems, before planets and before stars, there was nothing. From this nothing, came everything we see in the world today. But they didn't just "appear". They were created. From this nothingness, 7 beings were born. Each of these beings controlled a different aspect of the world. Light, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Darkness. Each of these beings worked together to create everything. Together they formed habitats that were able to support life. Light, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Lightning were all needed to create life, and life they created!"
Kouji: "This is all interesting Mrs. Nisou....but why are you telling me this?"
Nisou: "hoo hoo! Don't fret little one, in time you will understand. Now let me finish! As I said before, Light, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Lightning were necessary for life. But sadly, darkness was not. Imagine that! The most abundant element in the universe, is sadly the only one that is not necessary! Well you can imagine, darkness was jealous. He wanted to be important. He grew envious of his 6 siblings, and began to plot against them. One day Darkness began his plan to put an end to life, and his siblings. He used his control of darkness to create a force that would suck in all the other elements with such strength, that they could not resist it. This vortex began to consume everything. Light, earth, fire, wind and lightning were all being drained into this empty abyss until all creation was gone. Only the siblings remained. This angered Darkness's siblings who then teamed up against him and this began a war unlike anything this world has ever, or ever will, have known. The war went on, but Darkness was much more powerful than the other elements. They were weakened by the loss of their creations and the toll was apparent. When all seemed lost....it was Light who arose to the occasion. Summoning the last of his strength, he cast Darkness into his own abyss. Upon contact with the abyss it exploded in what we now call the big bang, releasing creation into nothing once again."
Kouji was captivated by the tale.
Nisou: "While knocked unconscious by the blast, the 6 siblings imprisoned darkness in a cage combined with all 6 of their elements. The 6 of them discussed what to do, and then agreed to give Darkness half of their creation in order to appease his envy. They freed him, and they all reconciled their differences. This is why we now have night and day."
Nisou's face grew serious.
Nisou: "Now to how this involved you. It was not an accident that you arrived here today my child, it was fate. You see, ever since the Great War of the Gods so many years ago, there has been a cycle. Every 200 or so years, a generation is born with extraordinary powers. One child for each of the 7 elements. These 7 children are then intertwined by fate, and destined to recreate the Great War. Now follow me behind the altar."
Kouji followed Nisou behind the altar and they came to a stop in front of the candle that lit when they entered. Above the candle was a circular symbol with lines all around it facing in an outward direction.
Nisou: "This symbol is the symbol we of the Old Religion use to represent the God of Light, Tomoshibi. This is the single most important symbol of our faith. It symbolizes courage and strength, and all that is good in the world. When we entered the chapel, this candle lit by itself. This candle is a special type of candle they make in our religion. There are 7 different types, and each of them are imbued with the energy of a different element. This candle in front of us is imbued with the energy of light. When someone who possesses the power of that element enters the room, that candle lights. Do you know what this means Kouji?"
Kouji: "......"
Nisou: "You! You are the child of light! The child of prophecy! The child who comes once every 200 years to cast darkness into the vortex of its own envy! It is you, who will unite the elements of fire, earth, water, wind and lightning, and it is you, who will defeat Darkness!"
Kouji stood there in disbelief.
Kouji: "There must be some mistake....I haven't felt any extraordinary powers in my life. You must have it wrong.....I'm sorry."
Nisou: "Hoohoo! No, Kouji, you haven't awoken your powers yet, but they are there! I'm sure of it! You, Kouji, are the Child of Prophecy!"
TO BE CONTINUED!
Bouken pulled the ship towards the nearby planet and went through the atmosphere. The ship was falling way too fast. The ship was heading straight for an open field, not a bad spot for a crash landing.
Bouken: "Here we go guys, hold on to your underwear! This is gonna be rough!"
