Oh yeah I totally forgot about that! Damn that would be messed up if that was canon. Maybe Kishi works with the animators to decide idk though.

Most of the "fillers' are over seen by Kishi himself, so it'd be stupid not to use the characters.

It'd also be stupid if after the main "Naruto" Series is done, they don't go back and show us some Akatsuki arcs ( Sasori vs nation/ Itachi gettting Totsuka ect )

I'd be glad to watch em and it'd keep the life ehre.

So do you think movies should be considered canon? That would be interesting since Naruto used FTG in road to ninja but that movies time-frame is illogical I think. But yeah Akatsuki back-stories sounds good (I think they are in the new revolution game).

I see, It would still make Naruto more OP if he could use that. I guess Kishi probably decides then what to incorporate from the anime in the manga.

I updated my post with a Gif, it's just him jumping above Menma to Rasengan him lol.

But yeah, most people argue that only Manga is canon, and I guess that's all that there is too it.

I think the hair thing is just laziness/lack of shading.
For example, in the manga young Hiruzen's hair is not shaded.
