A Person born with a kekkia Genkia is someone born with the ability to mix the 2 different elements into a brand new element. And in turn that doesnt make everyone with 2 elements a kekkia genkia user. Here is the thing, you can learn more than 1 element as you mature, but kekkia genkia users are born with 2 styles. Naruto for instance was born with wind release, but if he wanted to he could learn another release, he too could learn earth and water, but he wouldnt be able to use Mokuton as he does not have a Kekkia Genkia for mokuton. A good example of this is Hiruzen who mastered Fire, Earth and Water style in his old age, but had no kekkia genkia. Mei (5th Mizukage) state that she possess 2 Kekkia Genkia, Steam Release and Lava Release. She was born with both of these kekkia genkia, and thus being born with the kekkia genkia she also has access to the elements that make up the kekkia genkia being Fire, Water and Earth.

Lava = Earth + Fire
So they still are two other possibilities for her second Kekkei Genkais
Fire+ Water or Water + Earth.
Most likely the first.

Her other Kekkia Genkia has already been shown to be Stream Release.

It isn't as simple as combining earth and water. When you combine earth and water you get "mud" as Kakashi has shown before. What Hashirama does is combine earth, water and yang release(life force chakara) that creates trees. This is why when Naruto first got his cloak the life force from Naruto's cloak gave life to Yamato's Mokuton and it started to grow branches. This is why its stated that Hashirama has "Yang Release". Similar to how Suasnoo is "Yin Release". Mei would have to have Yang Release to use Mokuton but she doesn't because it is extremely rare to have Yang Release which is why Hashirama is the only one that can use Mokuton besides clones of him.

So what have we learned here? That you have to be able to control and release life force chakara which is an ability you can only gain through DNA. Uzumaki/Senju are known to have life force chakara but they didn't know how to release it like Hashirama did. I guess because Hashirama was the reincarnation of the younger son(SO6P successor) like Naruto which is something he inherited.

this does not explain why mukuton cells take over if the person hasn't got the controll over them to stop it.. that's like saying the mizukage's cells would vapourize you or something.. no.. i think, when kakashi whispered to yamato, kakashi whispered to yamato to explain it in a simple matter as naruto is/was not capable of grasping it any other way lol

it also does not explain why hashirama's sage mode was not passed on to other generations (i believe that hashirama's sage mode is a combination of a yin seal feeding the mukuton cells and the mukuton cells giving back that energy as nature energy)

look at the dot on his forehead when he uses sage mode.. i might be wrong, it is just a speculation of mine but it might work the way i mentioned before..
as you told me once, nature energy is way more potent than normal yin/yang energy.. seeing how mukuton started growing just from taking only yang energy back when he just got (a bit of ) the kyuubi's chakra, one could say that it can grow from both yin and yang.
we have also not seen any new abillities he gains when he goes into his sage mode.. other then that it makes his mukuton stronger..
i'd bet you he actually needs to use mukuton (if it actually is a yin seal) when he is using it, or else he would be taken over by it himself.
secondly we are talking about a jutsu taking over a body.. not the person you take the DNA from... (hence i would not call mukuton a jutsu at all)
the reason kabuto was changing into orochimaru might just be the snake sage mode he got from implanting orochimaru's cells was taking him over; much like the path of pain transformed when naruto made him suck nature energy.
