Argentina didn't play well. Belgium were the more defensively sound team today, they only lost today because of their forwards. Hazard was one of the worst players of the tournament by far. Mirallas should've been kept on, and Hazard subbed for Mertens. If Argentina fans are celebrating this win they have another thing coming. Messi was practically invisible during the 2nd half, and was humiliated by Courtois' save.

Before the tournament I stated it would be a Dutch-German final, but started to lean more towards Belgium, because they were more defensively compact then the Dutch. Who at times can become overly suicidal with their attacking. The Dutch will be much tougher for FC Messi though, and if they survive that, the Germans ruthless. If you think Messi is going to get 10 yards of space against those teams you have another thing coming. Today's goal was quite lucky, and it seemed Belgium just didn't believe in themselves after it happened. More experienced teams won't be fazed like that (Germany/Holland have shown the will to fight until the very end).

Argentina win 1-0, it was boring, unimpressive but they did what they had to do. They defended well today, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Basanta and Garay were good today as defenders, especially in first half wherein they completely shackled Belgium. Argentina's attack was present in first half but in second it was non existent, Sabella got his strategies right. Higuain was their best player in attack.


As for Belgium they were totally poor and seemed mediocre in their attack in first half, in second half it was a story of too little too late.
They were uninspired and didn't believe in themselves, which I could not comprehend as they were only a goal down and had 80 minutes to get it, they were full of disdain, in first half they didn't even test Romero, whole of their attack looked pathetic today.

In the end it was a mediocre match and Argentina who didn't impressed at all this World Cup but found ways to win.
They are in their first semi final since 1990.

TBH both team played bad, neither of them deserve to win the game.

Lol I give up. Im not responding after this. Portugal could only compete with Brazil and Argentina twice. Read what I said properly. The fact that Uruguay won the world cup the first two times had no effect on their performance against Italy. By that logic Uruguay should never ever have lost to Colombia. You're an idiot. The proof is in the pudding. In the Brazil vs Colombia game, in the 1st half Colombia feared Brazil and it was like they were playing the Brazil top with 5 stars not the actual team. That happend because of the Brazil's history in the past. The fact of the matter is that Urugauy are known to play crap and still win games and that is what they did against Italy. Read what i'm saying properly.

Ronaldo was taking the ball back to the center so they can continue quickly, and he did cheer and congratulate Ramos after that,
whats wrong with him taking off his shirt ? there's nothing wrong with that ?

this is the prime example that people criticize Ronaldo for doing something that doesn't really matter,
