Come on Algeria, beat Germany.
next warming up for Germany begins in 2 hours
The absence of Hummels showed, Germans were very poor in their defense, hope he gets better soon
Though Fra v Ger will be a nice one, I wouldn't mind either one winning
Germany survive! Some important notes, Lahm needs to return to RB now. Schweini, Khedira, Kroos mid is good enough for Germany. Hummels was greatly missed in defense, and it showed greatly today. Klose should have been sent on. I don't understand why Lowe didn't. Finally, ALL the top teams (Brazil barely passed Chile, not so hot in the groups, Netherlands got a scare from Mexico/Aussies, France were outplayed by the Nigerians for large chunks today, Argentina barely squeaked through the group) have disappointed greatly. But maybe the top teams aren't playing bad, the little teams are just playing really well?
Germany advance, that is all that matters. Onward and Forwards! :bouncy:
Lahm returned to right back after the substitution was made and i am inclined to agree with you that its not essentially the top teams that are playing bad it is the little teams that are playing well.
A large chunk of great performances by the little teams is due to the fact that they have nothing to lose, most of them already exceeded expectations, on the other hand teams like Btazil, Germany or Argentina have everything to lose so they can't play as risky as Algeria did today for example, they can't afford it
Nothing to lose? Giving their all on the pitch? Isn't that how the beautiful game of football is meant to be played. Those little teams you say have gotten into the quarters on previous occasions and are ambitious as any other teams out there.
Yeah, i see your point. Im looking forward to argentina match tomorrow i hope messi scores and surpasses james as the world cup top goal scorer.
I personally dont mind/wouldn't be too dissapointed if argentina dont win but only if Brazil wins it, it would be such a huge disappointment if a european team wins it on south America soil and finally we are going to see Belgium tested against a strong USA side.I'm gonne celebrate if any of these win the WC: Ger, Holland, Fra or Argentina
Brazil never looked like a top team from the get go. Retired Brazil players are probably laughing at how weak this years team is. 2010's team had substitutes that would steamroll through this team.A large chunk of great performances by the little teams is due to the fact that they have nothing to lose, most of them already exceeded expectations, on the other hand teams like Btazil, Germany or Argentina have everything to lose so they can't play as risky as Algeria did today for example, they can't afford it, not to even mention the pressure they are under, especially Brazil
