Costa is not that bad, the dude actually make some good run and tried to shake off his mark, and yet VDB decided to sub him for Torres ? Really ? I mean Torres ? again ? dude not supposed to be in the team to begin with !! that guy is not even making some move while Silva run his ass to get the ball forward, its like he's hoping for some kind of miracle that the Chilean defender will just roll over and let him pass, They have Villa in the bench for fck sake, that's their all time top scorer and he's having a blast with Atletico this season, and he played Torres instead,

The substitution is just Awful, in time of need you need player with experience, instead VDB put Koke a young lad playing his 1st big tournament for Spain when his team in the verge of elimination ( Genius ) Instead off Fabregas,

Cazorla who pretty much played the same role with Silva and Iniesta, bring on Juan Mata, you need more creativity in midfield not a player who make some useless run and then lose the ball far to easy,

but oh well i don't like Spain, this is the perfect end for that stupid Tiki Taka in 2010.

What? Costa had his chance but flopped rather he's good or not is irrelevant the fact that Xavi set him up nicely in the Netherlands game and he flopped to draw a bogus PK and Iniesta set him up nicely for a 1 V 1 with the keeper which he failed at again. He should've been subbed off and not for Torres either Fabregas/Villa were the options. Not bring Negredo/Llorente was also del Bosque problem.

Koke? Cazorla? Bad subs? They completely changed the game when they come on. Spain looked a lot more a live in the second half and actually created more chances and had more shots. Cazorla was 2 for 2 on target shots and Koke did some brilliant tackling.

Pique is shit, but starting Martinez ahead of him was a mistake and not bring Inigo Martinez another mistake.

You just summed up this world cup, this time even a smaller team can win, in the last world cup many teams were laid back during attack of the opposing teams and then counter attacked, but this time along with counter attack teams are attacking their opponents from the moment match starts, thus making for a more enjoyable style to watch.


Ivory coast vs Columbia is next, battle for no. 1 spot in group C, this one might be a draw.

I agree with your statement completely.
One has to give credit to club football to it I believe. Many La Liga and EPL teams developing player from various nations is the main cause of this.^_^
