Field promotion

Now since the Naruto world is at war and our favourite Gennin is fighting one of the most powerful people alive along with the Tailed Beasts.

Should he be given a field promotion to at the very least chunnin or Jōnin?

seeing as even Kakashi had gotten his Jōnin rushed during wartime wouldn't it be fair to say that others who aren't quite deserving of a promotion still get them?

we all know he is worthy of the title by strength alone (well people like to throw around kage level and above but he can't take the title until Tsunade passes it on or dies.

So what does the base think of it

I think he should be at least a chuunin already. But honestly who the hell cares no one has time to think about petty stuff like that right now. They are all to busy. S**** the Kage herself is busy as f*** ATM. So I doubt anyone will be getting promoted this time. It's either fight and win to save the world .... or face the wrath of Tobi.

yeah i do think every shinobi will be congratulated with a title for fighting in the war just like danzo named tsunade, jiraya and oro the 3 sannin.

I know the feudal lords decided the best use of there time was discussing about what sort of medal they should hand out to the heroes of the war.

I agree that he should be promoted (already prior to this point)..

He's above kage level because he saved the Leaf (in a sense).

But I think they are going to keep him @ his current rank, and move him from that to Kage... simply because it's unique and probly never would happen for anyone except good ol' Naruto.

I can't believe Naruto wants to be Kage in truth... He just wants to be recognized as the strongest ninja in the leaf (which is generally what the kage position means)...
I believe there should be Shikamaru as Kage and Naruto is in a new position... basically he just assumes the role of absolute gaurdian of the leaf. recognized as the strongest of all the Leaf and he is free from lame office work.
No way Naruto can be stamping papers all day... and he does not have the brains to tactically plan out things like Tsunade\Kakashi and most of all Shikamaru do.

Naruto already know that he is the strongest, by the Bijuus saying that he is the one who will lead them in the right path and will show the true power.

As for the thread. He should be promoted Jonin, but seriously he is the best of the leaf. So they might create another rank like "Guardian of the Leaf".

Naruto has the SKILLS of a Kage.

Working in teams(Unless it's Sasuke) isn't him. I doubt Naruto could lead a team, protecting them, sure. It's more to being a Ninja than just fighting... I hope.

I don't think he will. Tsunade will probably award him with a medal, but he will still be a genin and forced to go on D rank missions just to troll. I think this is definitely more in the character of the ninja world than just giving him jonin rank out of nowhere.

or he could leave the village like Jiraya, so that he is still a member of the village but with the Gennin rank just being the most = powerful ninja on the face of the earth lol

He's pretty much a legend now. As for the OP, naw. It's pretty much a given he'll go from Genin-Kage.
