I don't understand why everyone in the ninja world, after seeing the rasengan, didn't try to copy it. To my understanding it's chakra manipulation. Couldn't Hinata, Sakura, and most ninjas with good above average skill with chakra make their own Rasengan and infuse their natural powers? Why couldn't Kakashi infuse his electricty or Jiraya with fire? Will someone please explain...=D

Because its a dead man's Jutsu. Unless you have Sharingan you can't simply copy it.

They could but Kishi wanted to keep it unique to Naruto.

It's been said. Rasengan is an A Level Jutsu just because of the chakra manipulation. As kakashi tried it he came out with Chidori ( I think that's how I picked it up). And others like Minato and Jiraiya simply couldn't change the nature. Naruto was the first one to do it.

the degree of difficulty to use the rasengan in the first place is huge.. part 1 only minato and jiraiya could do it.. this is mainly because minato only taught jiraiya at the time..

Naruto was only able to do it in part 1 because he made shortcuts..

however it takes above expert chakra control to be able to use a rasengan with only one hand..

Kakashi learnt chidori in the first place by reducing the chakra manipulation until he could finally add his nature to it.. that is how he created the chidori

The hardest part with the rasengan was the last excercise which was learning to stabilise and contain the furious spinning chakra

Combining an element with the rasengan takes ridiculous chakra control. It's deemed impossible without clones, and Kakashi stated that he doesn't have the stamina or the skill with clones to do it. He also said that only Naruto could pull it off.

If Minato couldn't infuse an element into it, what makes you think Kakashi or Jiraiya could?

Despite the simplicity of Rasengan, developing it is really, really difficult. It's an A-class technique. Kakashi could do it relatively off the bat because he's a genius. Naruto could do it, because he spent such a large amount of time trying it with little breaks (props to his stamina). What of the ninja or kunoichi who have neither? It will take them years to master the usage.

Even if you do have Sharingan you can't copy it. Sharingan copies hand seals. Rasengan has none.

didn't jiraiya teach it to Minato? I know it was the 4th Naruto shippuden movie and it's not really canon but still

It's minato's jutsu not jiraya's.

You need to perfectly focus your mind on the different aspects of it.
That's why having each clone focus on one part of it is so effective.

If large amount characters used the main characters signature attack in any anime, it longer becomes unique. Similar to other series, like the rasengan, only a few characters knew how to use the kamehameha in Dragonball Z, or the Spirit Gun in Yu yu hakusho; The creator of the technique, the teacher of the technique, and the main character who learns it.
