The quote below explains how i feel on the problem. I feel like this is one of the serious subjects that doesn't get the attention it needs. The problem actually goes deeper than the said quote acknowledges. What are your thoughts? Should women be allowed the same rights as men?

I just think that if everyone was to acknowledge that way of thinking, eventually it would become "some humans are more equal than others". Others will begin to think they really are better than other humans, which their not. If this was the reach to the government, people in poor economic situations would the first to go. It would only get worse.

It's already like that some-what in Russia. Homosexuals and anyone associated with them can get up to a 10 year sentence. It's a really dangerous way of thinking, if you catch my drift.

It is rather immature or dumb thinking. People are not equal, they never were and they never will be. There is some amount of rights which every human being share with no exception, but saying that man equal woman is insanely stupid. As Friedrich Nietzsche said, people are never equal. Some may be stronger, some - weaker. Some may be beautiful, and some - ugly. Some may rule nations, and some may be useless trash. It's a good idea that people share the same rights when the're born, everyone must have a chance to become something decent. But if you're born with no legs, or with no arms, by no means you will ever be equal to someone who have them. Same for man and woman: we're simply biologicaly different. Woman suits better for one tasks, men - for other. Feminism is about claiming that woman can do the man's job equally good - that's not true. They can, in theory, but let's think: will a woman who's, let's say, a strong, muscular miner, remain really a woman? Biologicaly, due to hormonal disbalance, she'll become something mid-gender. This will surely affect her mind as well. Does it worth it? May be, but I doubt most people will find her attractive in any way. It may be sad, but it's true.

That's not entirely true. I'm russian myself, and I leave in St. Petersburg, and I can assure you that nobody will condemn you for being gay unless you openly propagandize to children.

I agree with you actually. Women can have the same rights as men but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are equal

I'm all for equality. My initial post was just a clever joke. However, there is truth to it if you ignore the gender aspect.
Whereas feminism is concerned, it really doesn't affect my life in any way, shape, or form. Most self proclaimed feminist I have seen or heard about were really just anti men. I really don't feel the need to break down and argue the mistakes in your reply. Its fine to be naive but if you honestly believe that the government doesn't already think of themselves as better than us, then perhaps you are ignorant.

I agree with you, seriously. Yet, we all fall under one category, human. I don't believe that one should be judged by his/her number of limbs, or by strength, but by impact and character. A man could be the strongest in the world, but what if he didn't do anything for it? Then is he greater than Einstein, someone who is not remebered by his strength, but impact on the world? If you think a man's worth is deducted by strength, then you must really think lowely of men. Men and women both have great potential in this wolrld. They could both become a war hero, someone who saved many lives; cure cancer, improve the world's technology, and more. A teenage girl saved hundreds of lives by remembering signs of a Tsunami in her Geography class. A man could do that as well. This just suggests that men and women alike are the same, given by birth the same potential.

Thats exactly my parents Lol. They think my life goal is just to get married.
