Females in the hidden leaf

I've noticed that most of the teams we've been introduced to are made up of the team leader, 2 males and 1 female.
So I was wondering why? Like is there a rule to follow when the teams are being formed that there is only one female per group or are there just not enough females in konoha. Any thoughts

To be fair!.. Men are the ones who do the protecting while women are great healers. It's been like that for a long time, now folks always got somethin idiotic to say about women bein healer and men being the fighters/protector. It's called team work!!!.

How are the orphans a love triangle? Yahiko liked Konan. Konan like Yahiko. Nagato was like "Guys, do it!" The complete opposite of a love triangle.

Because back in old days when woman part is more support behind rather than stand in front line. And Tsunade ideal was having some one who can tend wounded behind, in order to increase success of mission. Later many village see this format and apply to their own.

This is why you can see 2 men team in Akatsuki cause they are reckless and no need any support.
