My thoughts have been that all the Uchiha, men and women alike, had the potential to awaken the Sharingan but whether or not they did was a different story. Although, there is the thought that not every woman in the Uchiha clan was born into it.

It was never shown but it was implied. She was the said to be a very strong Shinobi and was married to the leader of the Uchiha's Coup De Tat, so it goes without saying that she had a Sharingan. It is highly unlikely that only males have Sharingans, the reasons we have seen no Females with Sharingans isnt because they dont have them but because we have litterally seen no female Uchiha, I mean other than Sasuke's mom I cant think of a single one.
