*note* Not implying to be sexist. Kishi is a bad female character writer, don't deny it.
Spoilers are because large images. Too lazy to find smaller ones. Well, at least they're large on my phone.
Why is Kishi bad with female characters? Not bad. Real bad. Every single female has something wrong with them or needs saving and he writes almost all the guys like they're perfect.
Hinata and Sakura.
After this latest chapter, I noticed something. Both these two showed off a new feat when standing up to a very powerful opponent just to get one shot.
Then other females always need saving or can hardly do anything. Ino, Kushina, Temari, TenTen (especially TenTen), Anko, Tsunade, Mei.
These girls can all be totally kickass and have so much potential! Why can't Kishi just do it right with them?
Sakura
she isn't completely useless, but she does indeed have a lot of moments of being useless. I feel most of the time so it's just to show Naruto being stronger. Some parts she could've been better, but I blame Kishi because plot. (Ex: stabbing Obito's eye, not killing Sasuke, etc.). She's weak compared to her two comrades, but she is starting to become a worthy Shinobi. She just displayed a major show of guts and courage. Yet people still try to down play that :|
Hinata
Sorry I just had to.
a fan-favorite. But you can't deny she doesn't have much personality to her. I honestly never saw the appeal of her character. I feel her character is centered around Naruto a little too much. Plus a main problem Kishi has with females is that they're usually weak, and Hinata falls under that category. But over the years she had developed confidence and courage.
Kushina
Probably one of the better written females. She was a caring and loving mother. I see a lot of Sakuras personality in her and I like that about them. The love story between Minato and Kushina was very well written. She was also pretty badass for holding down Kurama with her chains.
Ino
I like her, but have mixed feelings about her character. She still likes Sasuke despite never even talking to him, but lately she's been showing how mature and strong she's been. Fighting your old teacher much be hard, and I'm surprised she didn't hesitate. She also falls under the weak category.
TenTen
She's TenTen.
Karin
Her character is crazy. She's too obsessed with Sasuke. The only reason she got her new power up was because she was worried about him. I'm not sure if that's love or a weird obsession. Either way, I don't think Kishi did much of a good job with her. I'm not sure if she falls under weak. It depends if she can control the chains.
Konan
Arguably the best female character. She fought for what she thought was right and almost took down Obito herself. She's definitely not weak, but she got killed off, which sucks.
Temari
A Kickass Kunoichi. She doesn't seem to take sh¡t from anyone and is very powerful. But we haven't really seen much of her, which is a huge downer.
Mei
She acts like a total flirt and is worried about marriage. But she is indeed powerful for a Kage.
Tsunade
Boobs. Uh I mean, Tsunade is a great hokage, I don't care what you say. Sure she isn't the strongest overall, but she is indeed strong. She's a good written character... For a female. She's handled loss of her loved ones and is still going strong.
Anko
she had potential, but we never saw much from her. A dammn shame, really.
I like them all. It's really sad Kishi neglects them. They all have so much potential.
