Isn't that the message of narutoverse? The stronger your bond, the more you love, the stronger you become? It goes for Naruto when he defends his friends, he becomes stronger. Now you see, the Uchiha are just the same but they go insane when they lose someone. They are a victim of their genes like Kimimaro and Juugo were. I find that twist interesting because I dislike people who are just evil for the hell of it. When evil has a reason behind it, it is more interesting because you have to find out if you ban said person or if you feel sorry and try to save them. The Uchiha story is so tragic and I got the feeling it will even get worse when Hashirama speaks. I like how it is easier to understand Sasuke now. Well done, Kishi.

lol well .... i understand where your coming from (explained your view nicely). am also glad you understand why i think its cheesy .... it's just that making the bad ass uchiha's a clan of emotionally unstable warriors seems wrong (the secret behind them). but again thats just me.

Well, they only get emotionally unstable when they lose someone, but I understand your point. I had to reread the explanation twice before it finally sunk in that they are capable of a greater love than the Senju.

Looking back on it now, it shouldn't be that surprising. It actually should have come over as weird that a clan said to be full of hatred only develop their strongest technique by losing someone they love or because they want to protect someone close to them.
Of course like it was mentioned, most of the Uchiha do drown in hatred afterwards, but before that their capability of love is big.

But yeah, to some people it can come off as cheesy, I understand that. At least you didn't claim that they were emo like some others did - that word is incredibly misused.
So I understand your point - I just find it more ironic and amusing xd

ya it is kind of ironic (many things are in this series :p). am just sad because i won't look at the uchiha's as i used too .... (extremely strong power seeking, heartless monsters like MADARA) their bad ass image is gone for me, bye bye uchiha's :T_T:

I think Kishi tries to make the plot a little more emotional and serious, not just "coolness" and fights. It's not directed to kids like a cartoon so it has to be more deep. Nothing wrong for me. ;)

well ..... like i said making an entire clan an emotionally unstable group is not really making the plot serious or to make this more directed to adults (and above all doesn't make this series deep). am really glad you like it (at least someone is enjoying it), to me adding depth to the story can be done with heavy unpredictable secrets, conspiracies and more believable (non cheesy) reasons behind each important character's actions. not summing the whole uchiha clan up as SENSITIVE AND FULL OF LOVE, that to me shows a lack of creativity or maybe just laziness (witch is surprising to me after seeing what kishi have created).

I'm fine with that. As a female Naruto fan, I'm always looking for emotions in the story, otherwise it wouldn't attract me. I've never really seen any of the bad guys as heartless killers, that wouldn't have been interesting.

@Jiraiya perv, it's not so bad. In the moment they showed how he made the moons eye plan, he lost it as a mindless killer freak anyway. We all knew we would hear his story and it would be touching. If hatred makes them stronger and love makes them go insane, it's still a cool story.
