Umar who is a descendent of Fredrick Douglas, and is also a Black Psychologist and National Certified School Psychologist. It amazes me, how our people can so oblivious to white supremacy in America, we've been given one month out of the entire year for others to "realize our struggle", and we're supposed to forget 500 years of oppression, and discrimination towards our people.

The reason I brought up American Indians is because they had it even worse. No, they weren't brought over here to work and be given a place to sleep and poor quality food then eventually would be set free to adapt to culture and have a half way decent life many years in the future. Nope.

They were just killed. Forced off the very land they lived on and were killed. Eventually a President came along and just told them to move from their land and if they didn't they would be killed, so at least they gave them a chance to survive. You know, in the desert in the west where there was barley any food. Then America wanted to expand again and cowboys came and killed more of them.

You know the whole cowboy and Indian thing, were the cowboy is the good guys and the Indians are the bad guys, and the more Indians you kill, the better good guy you were? That was an actual concept. Maybe you might feel a bit lucky now you weren't killed because you were thought of as a plague. Oh and Indians were slaves for a long time too, but you don't hear about that at all huh.

I can go on but like you said, it isn't the point of the thread. My point is that people complaining about racism and saying we only get one month out of the 12 is bs when others have had it worse and they get jack shit.

Enjoy your month and stop complaining. Bringing it back up is just going to cause more segregation too.
