Disclaimer, Please enter this thread with an open mind... Because I plan on Blowing it.

This has nothing to do with their strength as a Clan but rather addressing the possibility of the Hyuga preceeding the Uchiha.

I Like God, Do not play Dice and do not believe in Coincidence.

The thing that started this was staring at this picture.

When I looked at it it seemed familiar...

By some stretch of the imagination it seemed to me that the Hyuga Clan's symbol seemed similar to a picture of the Fruit. In a sense you can say the Shape (Triangular) and Design (Swirly) of the Fruit was merged to create the Hyuga Logo. Now now now wait... WAIT. I know your thinking "Oh no not another Sage is related to the Hyuga thread". Please, bare with me.

Kakashi does say that the Uchiha's Origins lie within the Hyuga. Now Kakashi has said somethings before much like him believing the Rinnegan was merely a mutation. But there is a difference here. So with that I will rely on the old saying "There is a Seed of Truth in every Lie."

Here we see the difference between a statement rooted in fact and one rooted in mystery. Now we all know the Rinnegan is mysterious, only 4 People have used it and 3 of those people shared the same Rinnegan. And none of them ever spoke about it, so we wouldnt expect anyone to konw anything about the Rinnegan. But the Uchiha/Hyuga are not the same, they are fairly open Clans who's records can be looked over and members can be questioned. They is alot of information about them that can be cross examined and verified. So for someone to say that because Kakashi didnt know anything about something he shouldnt have known anything about (The Rinnegan) he therefore must not know anything about something he could/should know something about (Uchiha's Origins), is just bad logic.

I believe that there is some truth to what Kakashi said, and under that premise I shall continue.

Case of Mistaken Identity

Lets get started!

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki - Her last name translates to "Big Bamboo Tree" now this makes alot of sense because her Clan was supposedly worshipers of the God Tree. And thus they would name themselves after it. Now we know that Kishimotto loves to hide Mythology to the Manga, and there just so happens that Princess Kaguya is the main character from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter (竹取物語, Taketori Monogatari), which is also said to be one of the oldest Japanese legends in written record. According to the legend, Princess Kaguya wears the hagoromo (羽衣, "feather robe") when she returns home to her kingdom at the Moon. Her last name literally means Big Cylinder Tree (大筒木, Ōtsutsuki).

So in the above we see 4 things that directly correlate to Naruto. 1) Princess Kaguya, 2) Bamboo Tree (God Tree), 3) Hagoromo (Kaguya's Son), 4) Moon (Eye of the Moon Plan).

Now I wont ellaborate on the above too much but I do want to point out that Kaguya's Clan, the worshipers of the God Tree, were named after the Tree (Big Bamboo Tree). Now what would happen if the Tree turned into the Juubi and started doing its own thing? At that time I think it would be a good time to change names dont you think?

Now in the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter the Tree represents the Princess's way to reach the Moon which is where her kingdom is. Now in Naruto the God Tree is a symbol the people worship and this is all done in relation to the Moon, I mean the Juubi's True Power/Purpose seems to be derived directly from the Moon. Now the God Tree has its fruit stolen and starts wreaking havoc on everyone. So they have been betrayed by the Tree which more or less represents the Moon. Now where will this clan turn to? Hmm...

Hyuga - means "towards the sun" or "place in the sun".

This only seems natural as the Sun is the direct opposite of the Moon. With the God Tree/Moon proving to be Evil it only makes sense to make a full 180 towards its opposite. The Sun.

And so the Ōtsutsuki Clan changed there name from Ōtsutsuki (Big Bamboo Tree), which represented them heading towards the Moon, to the Hyuga Clan which now represents them heading back in the other direction "Towards the Sun."

With that the Uchiha's Origins would lie within the Hyuga...

Conclusion

Im a little tired so I will it here and add more tommorow when I get up via an Update Section. o(u__u)o

But All I am saying is that we shouldnt rule out the possibility of the Hyuga and Uchiha still being related.

UPDATE #1

As Promised I shall continue where I left off. But I want to premise this with a few somewhat radical ideas that I have made threads about in the past as you will have to understand them in order to appreciate the point I will make at the end.

1) Revisited: Where did Chakra Come From

Chakra existed before the Juubi [ ]. This is made evident by a few things:

1) KKG's much like Jugo's which uses Senjutsu Chakra, which we know (Based on my previous thread on Onmyoudon [ ]) to be outside the realm of Chakra. Logically speaking this had to of predated the Sage. On top of which we have Ninja Animals that utilize Chakra/Senjutsu which we can assume to also predate the Sage.

2) Based on the words chosen manga such as:

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

Seeing phrases like "Unveiled Secrets of" and "Divine True Meaning of" arent the type of phrases you would use to describe someone creating or discovering something. Rather you use it to describe someone refining or expanding on something.

So with that I make the just claim that Chakra predated the Bijuu. It was always there as people always containted a Spirit and a Body (Yin and Yang). But the knowledge of its applications were never known.

Its kind of like the Wizard of Oz, they had what they were looking for the entire time. they just didnt know it.

The Third Eye

Now this is where things get a little interesting and it all starts with the Third Eye, you know that red dot people draw on their fore heads? Well it is more or less a Spiritual Concept... I seem to remember talking about a religious clan that worshipped something but I can remember at the moment. Eitherway Just know that the Third Eye IE the Minds Eye is linked to religion, which religion you ask?

The following are excerpts from Wikipedia [ ]

The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight.
The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras,[4] precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.
In Taoism and many traditional Chinese religious sects such as Chan (a cousin to the Zen school), "third eye training" involves focusing attention on the point between the eyebrows with the eyes closed, and while the body is in various qigong postures. The goal of this training is to allow students to tune into the correct "vibration" of the universe and gain a solid foundation on which to reach more advanced meditation levels. Taoism teaches that the third eye, also called the mind's eye, is situated between the two physical eyes, and expands up to the middle of the forehead when opened. Taoism claims that the third eye is one of the main energy centers of the body located at the sixth chakra, forming a part of the main meridian, the line separating left and right hemispheres of the body (Yin and yang).
Now Do you know what the symbol for Taoism is?

You must be registered for see images

Look familiar?

You must be registered for see images

Thats right, its the same symbol that represents the 8 Trigrams 64 Palms Technique, a Hyuga Technique. I believe that there is a link between the Hyuga and Taoism, this is something that has been theorized many times by better men than me. Now this is where I am going to lose you.

1) The Hyuga represent a Taoist Clan
2) Taoism practices the teachings of the Third/Minds Eye.
3) In Theosophy The Third/Minds Eye is equated to the Pineal Gland.
4) The Pineal Gland is located towards the center of the Brain [ ].

I say all that to say this:

You must be registered for see images

I say that to say this:

Click > < Click

--------------------------------

I believe that the Otsutsuki Clan, through practice and meditation was able to harness the true power of the Mind's Eye (Byakugan) causing a Special Chakra to sprout within their Pineal gland. This Chakra was passed down every generations and with there Byakugan they were able to divine Chakra and the Energies of the Body and developed The Gentle Fist as a result.

And so the first Doujutsu was the Byakugan, when activated they open their Mind's Eye which grants them "perception beyond ordinary sight".

Lastly I want to speak on 1 additional thing and that is something I have always been facinated by, which is the symbolism of Obito's mask:

You must be registered for see images

You have the Sharingan in 1 Tomie, Rinnegan in Another, but there is a 3rd Tomie in this picture, and although there is no eye there (Ofcourse) in a sense there actually is... It forms the Dot on the Forehead representing "The Minds Eye".

The Last Nail in the Coffin

And so I end where I began:

You must be registered for see images

Kakashi says that the Origins of the Uchiha lay within the Hyuga. And if that was true then that would mean the technically speaking the Sage would have been a Hyuga. Which would mean he would share the same Clan Symbol as the Hyuga. Right? Follow me...

You must be registered for see images

Now tell me what you see... Need a better look? Fine.

You must be registered for see images

Now what in the world is the Hyuga Clan Symbol doing in a sacred hidden room which housed the Ritual Stone of the Sage of 6 Paths? Strange right? Or perhaps... a last homage to his Former Clan...

Conclusion

Now even if your not completely convinced, I feel I make a good argument as to how and why Kakashi's statement may be true.

And so I leave you with a quote from Albert Einstein "I Like God, Do not play dice and do not believe in coincidence."

And if that isnt enough for you then here is a piece of symbolism for you:

UPDATE #2

In this section I am merely going to breifly go over the series of events the lead to the current Naruto Timeline, and shed a little backstory on the Uzumaki:

1) Otsutsuki Clan worships God Tree for decades.

2) War comes to the Clan and in an act of desperation Kaguya eats a Fruit of the Tree, upon doing so the Chakra in her head is altered creating the Rinnegan.

3) The Juubi goes beserk looking for what was stolen from it

4) She has a Son Hagoromo who defeat the Juubi and seals it.

5) Turned off by the Juubi's actions the God Tree the Otsutsuki change their name and head towards the Sun (Hyuga).

6) Hagoromo decides to put his knowledge to good use and travels the world teaching everyone Ninjutsu hoping this would bring peace, along with him come a few loyal Hyuga followers.

7) After failing to find peace the Sage creates the Land of Whirlpools (Uzioshugare) and creates the Uzumaki Clan composed of his followers.

* This is were it gets weird*

8) The Sage uses his Rinnegan (Path of Life and Death) to endow the Uzuamki with strong life forces, whether to ensure their survival or to allow them to make use of dangerous seals (Like the RDS), or perhaps forseeing that the tailed beasts would one day need to be sealed much like the Juubi was. (This would explain why the Juubi sensed the Sage within Naruto.)

9) Over time the Hyuga KKG was dilluted out of the Uzumaki due to outer clan relationships.

---------------------------

Lastly here is a Qoute that I appreciated so much that I felt it had to go into the thread:

Let's not forget that it's been mentioned a few times about how the Hyuuga seal their eyes to protect the "secrets of the bayakugan". It's easy to dismiss this as merely meaning to prevent them from being stolen, however it's just as easy to say there's something more to the bayakugan.

ALSO, Kishi did say there will be Hyuuga development soon. Why does this have to simply be Neji dying? Maybe Neji dies so that Hinata is the only Hyuuga left in the Konoha group so she can take some kind of pivotal role on.

I get skepticism but simply dismissing any important role by the Hyuuga is silly willy illy nilly.

Enjoy the Read!

Not really mind blowing... Got me started a bit with the Hyuga emblem and Kaguya's story.

But in the hallways of NB, these theories are picked up by the most osf sensible in my opinion.

Love the thread, though. Can't wait for the update.

i like it.
I am glad you liked it ^__^ , But I cant help but feel like this is the calm before the storm lol. The Uchiha fan boys are coming.. And they are not pleased.

Nice theory. But I disagree. I think The Ōtsutsuki change their name to Uzumaki..
I dont believe the Otsutsuki changed there name to the Uzumaki. I believe the Sage started his own Clan after journeying the Globe. This clan was the Uzumaki. So the Uzumaki, The Senju and The Uchiha are all Clans spawned from the Sage who is spawned from the Otsutsuki.

I am very Glad you liked it, I had more to say but it is 3 AM over here, Ill be sure to add my complete thoughts on this tommorow.

What kakashi said about the hyuga's connection with the uchiha is hearsay. So i disagree.
I address that in my thread, and the idea behind it is that even hearsay must come from somewhere. Hearsay doesnt just pop up out of nowhere, on top of which why would Kishimoto create random hearsay just to throw off the readers? It is my belief that if there is a possible reality where Kakashi's words have relevance, then we should not ignore it simply because it goes against what we believe to be correct.

Kakashi merely made a false assumption back in part one:

You must be registered for see images

the character in question (Kakashi) was not making a definitive statement but rather working on hearsay and speculations (Kakashi: "They Say...") therefore the validity of his statement is questionable.

Kakashi said that the origins of the Uchiha Clan lie (come from) with the Hyuuga Clan which implies that the Uchihas are descendants of the Hyuugas making the Uchiha (based on Kakashi's hearsay info) merely an off-shoot clan of the Hyūgas. Already Kakashi's statement is contradicting the Manga since the descendants of the Elder Son were said to be Uchihas:

hyuga aren't relevant to kishi anymore, end of story.
Lol such ignorance, I don't say that I don't support the uzumaki theory but yet you have to have an open mind for other theories that also make sense and as long as they make sense you can't rule them out. And as for the irrelevance, let me tell you this, some weeks ago I had created a thread about the bizarre way Spiral had disappeared for so many chapters and how he can't be dead. Many answered, like you now, that his use had ended, yet the following week we saw him fighting against AS with increadible power. Just something to think about...

Where did i say that you dont believe in the uzumaki theory? also it's pretty obvious Guruguru was still around, he couldn't just "died" off or somehow got forgotten by kishi. But fine i'll tell you this, when the OP adds more details that sound good. then i'll be consider it "plausible" ;)

I don't see why we can dismiss what Kakashi says about the hyuuga as hearsay, and take what obito says as 100 % factual. Seems a little inconsistent.

Well hypthetically, Derp has a point on that, Obtio had as his teacher Madara, the one who had read the uchiha tablet while Kakashi has heard this by some, probably, random or at least not speciallized on such matters people.

Obito got that information straight from madara who got that info from the uchiha tablet, that was most likely written by the sage...

Why so salty bro? Do you think what you just said is the slight bit persuasive? Its obvious that I disagree with you so do you think simply stating your opinion is going to change anything? No I get it... You just dont care. Ignorance is bliss am I right?

^__^ Nice to be debating with you again Derp.

To start off I acknowledge the skeptism of Kakashi's words in my thread. But I would argue that what you are misunderstanding to be an example of hearsay is merely a relaxed for of dialougue. The most you can deduct from it is that what he is saying has not been proven but is rumored to be the case. And I state that very thing in my thread. I then go on the say that I believe that there is some truth to what he said and continue from there, whether you agree or not is not the case as it has no real relevance to the main point of my thread which revolves around Kaguya's surname.

Look at it this way... What are the Origins of the Uchiha? The Sage, The Sage is a member of the Otsutsuki Clan who's name was changed to the Hyuga. Therefore the Uchiha's Origins (The Sage) Lie within (Come from) the Hyuga Clan (The Otsutsuki Clan). It is not saying that the Uchiha is merely an offshoot of the Hyuga, rather it is saying that the Uchiha's lineage can be traced back to the Hyuga.

I also address the Rinnegans mutation in my thread as well. In it I state the difference between a statment rooted in fact and one rooted in mystery. Now we all know the Rinnegan is mysterious, only 4 People have used it and 3 of those people shared the same Rinnegan. And none of them ever spoke about it, so anyone claiming to know anything about it would more than likely find themselves wrong about it. But the Uchiha/Hyuga are not the same, they are fairly open Clans who's records can be looked over and members can be questioned. They are no where near as secretive as the Rinnegan that no one knows anything about. So for someone to say that because Kakashi didnt know anything about something he shouldnt have known anything about (The Rinnegan) therefore he must not know anything about something he should know something about (Uchihas Origins), is just bad logic.
