With the final Ninja Storm game coming out next year it's time to do a rollcall and pick your favourite of the series. Personally I find it difficult to evaluate them seperately as they all seem like the same series to me and I adore them all (my favourite video game series by FAR)

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

Pros:
-Still looks Beautiful
-Nostalgia Feels at it's strongest
-Perfect for light play with friends
-Full scale Sandbox map of Konoha
-Wall-walking, longer Ougis and Jutsu Clashes

Cons:
-Story Mode was somewhat limited
-Sasuke & Tenten were clearly very overpowered and game very unbalanced
-Suitable roster for the time but has been severely outmatched by future installments.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (The only Naruto PS3 game to get Platinum)

You must be registered for see images

Pros:
-New roster had all the necessary early Shippuden characters
-Story Mode had nearly all of the Shippuden story to tell
-Introduction to amazing boss fights (Kakazu, Deidara, Sasori, Sasuke etc.)
-Online Mode!
-Arguably a better telling of the Shippuden story than the ANIME.
-Adapted weak moments of the manga (Naruto Finds Sasuke, Naruto VS Kakazu, Gaara VS Deidara) into stronger and more memorable moments.
-Good aftergame.

Cons:
-Game introduced us to Temari, Deidara and the original Storm spammer
-Minato, Kirin Sasuke & Sage Naruto got the delights of being this installments OP characters, hated by all
-With no substitution bar supports like Hidan and Pain were way too strong and could win a match by themselves
-Online was almost claustrophobic with cheap players
-Some awakenings such as Susanoo are somewhat impossible to escape
-Some big Glitches
-Probably the most broken and abusable game in the series.
-Some characters were borderline unplayable due to the fixation on speed. Lars, Shino and Suigetsu really suffered.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations

Pros:
-Roster is absolutely amazing, balancing original Storm characters whilst adding Zabuza/Obito/Haku/Kabuto/5 Kage etc.
-Game is superbly presented and IMO the cleanest looking Storm game to date
-Introduction to the Substitution bar, a series saving concept in the long-run
-Amazing new animations
-Online Info Cards Images & Titles feature worked great. Giving you bonuses on certain points in battle.
-Lots of different strategies to use

Cons:
The new fixation on the chakra dash/combos 'comboqueen' making the enemy waste their sub bar was awful
-Abusable supports at their all-time worst, being able to choose from Hidan/Onoki/PTS Tenten/Kimimaro/PTS Gaara etc
-Many agree the Arcade Mode-esque Story Mode was lack-lustre
-A middle game for anticipation of Storm 3

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3/Full Burst:

You must be registered for see images

Pros:
-The most cinematic of the Storm series
-Big update of the already big roster making the biggest roster to date.
-Comboqueen issue still remains but is less obnoxious
-Mifune, Hanzo & Jin among others are given interesting and expansive movesets
-Story mode does the best out of what it's got and adds some interesting new content and ways to play (decisions, hack&slash sections, giant boss battles etc)
-Again expanding previous weak moments from the manga and making them cinematic and beautiful
-Instant Awakenings are again a HUGE part of gameplay and are fantastic
-Can fashion a playing style around any character in the game (other than maybe Karin and PTS Sakura but keep trying)

Cons:
-That Madara ending. You know the one. The Tobi one IMO was good but should've ultimately ended on a cliffhanger
-Missed out on characters who should undeniably be in the game (7 Swordsman, Edo Kage)
-Tiers still exist but aren't as devastating as past lists
-Masked Man and Minato players can still go and rot.
-Awakenings are less broken and more fun to fight against
-Full Burst is a game that technically shouldn't exist as next years title is an awkward ending to Storm 3.

Which is your favourite? Do you agree with my Pros & Cons?

You may be waiting a long time :')

The Edo Kage, Edo versions of Chiyo/Kakazu/Kimi & The Sound 4 were borderline unforgivable IMO.

The first one. Loved the clashes, fighting on walls and some awakening characters you can pick at the start. I.E CM Sasuke, Gated Lee/Gai, 1tailed Naruto, CM Kimmimaro.

I actually liked Generations to most. It addressed some of the issues with Storm 2 (even though Generations had a fair amount of problems itself), and I enjoyed the new gameplay mechanics it brought to the series. Story mode didn't bother me too much, since that's usually how most fighting games deal with story mode anyway.

As much as I wanted to like Storm 3, it just didn't live up the my expectations. I had no big problems with the other games in the series, but Storm 3 felt like they were taking two steps back. Too much content ended up being removed (most notably combos and maps), and the roster included PTS characters that had no relevance to the war arc. The story mode was fantastic, but the ending should have been done differently to get players excited for the next game rather than a shoddy filler ending.

All in all, I could not put Storm 3 above Generations or Storm 2 in terms of how enjoyable the whole experience was, despite how it may seem superior because it's the latest game in the series.

I agree, although I think slightly more highly of Storm 3 than you do I admit.

Generations is my personal favourite mostly because of the presentation, the huge step up it took, the arcade mode I loved, survival mode(just mentioning that makes me wanna play it now!) and having some of my favourite characters in the Storm franchise (I miss PTS Ino & Chouji)

Also is that a Gurren Lagann flag in your signature? If it is I think we should talk more often Sabuto :')

Storm 1 was probably the best storm game because of what it offered. Generations and full burst are just broken and at times not really fun for shit loads of reasons lol. Storm 2 brought us a character that was never in a naruto which was Lars from tekken which IMO was great because they were doing something different. But now a days I think that cc2 aren't putting in as much effort that they had did with storm 1 and 2.

Very fair analysis. If you compare original Ninja Storm to Ultimate Ninja then it is most definitely the biggest step up, I do love Storm 3 and Generations and would play them over the other 2 online anyday but I very much agree with your points. To think that Storm 2 WASNT broken and unfair is silly though, it was the HIGHLIGHT of abusing the game's shortcomings to win online (Sage Mode Naruto, Deidara, Temari, Minato, Itachi, Sasuke, Pain...you could cheat the system with most characters)

That said I did play on Generations online a few hours back to see what's happened to the community, on the PS3 there's still lots of players, but it seems to have really dried up from what I saw and it's only the worst of the community left (I encountered many a Tenten, Masked Man and Sage Mode Naruto prick) Made me revaluate them a little.

Storm 2, because it brings back the best memories of when my mate's copy got scratched up by his Xbox. Good times. Ahh.

IMO Storm 2 is definitely the game with the most effort put into it, it's still a strictly single player game though if you know what's good for you (the story far outweighing online before it was fixed up)

Storm 3 by far. I liked the others, though.

I find it hard to respect any of the games as individual fighters, as they're simply button mashers. With that being said I had a decent deal of fun on the story modes for Generations and the original Storm.

Got to disagree, just because it's an unconventional fighter that doesn't rely on pre-learned combo sequences doesn't make it skill-less. You sound like my dad lol, technically every game is a button masher. You clearly haven't seen the game being played properly by people who do more than chakra dash and combo.
