Favourite flashback(s) from Naruto?

There have been some great flashbacks throughout this series.

Personally, Kakashi Gaiden will always be my favourite. The arc gave us some new insights about Minato’s character, and it explained some unanswered questions such as how did Kakashi have a Sharingan (a KKG unique to the Uchihas) despite not being an Uchiha. It holds significant relevance to the plot, since it essentially laid the foundation for the war arc, as Tobi was later revealed to be Obito.

The most enjoyable part of this flashback arc was seeing Kakashi develop into the character that he is today. He once despised his father for not following standard orders, but now considers him a hero for saving his comrade’s life. I really like how Kishi has portrayed this theme of camaraderie and how it has shaped Kakashi's character and other characters too.

My other favorite would be the nine-tails attack-on-the-village flashback (when Minato and Kushina died).

That one was touching.

Kakashi vs Obito fight with flashbacks was amazing.

As much as we all complain about them, there were several flashbacks that we all wanted to see that contributed immensely to the plot.

I agree that Kakashi Gaiden was the best: it indeed laid the foundation for Part 2 and gave insight into Kakashi's character, which had been a mystery during Part 1.

But nearly as critical for character insight and plot support were the Sasuke/Itachi/Uchiha massacre flashbacks, the birth of Naruto/Nine-Tails attack, and the Hashirama/Madara story.

The Rin flashbacks were valuable, too, but there were just too many. In a way, the excess of them contributed to the sluggish pace of the SA vs Obito chapters. And looking back, those panels could have been put to much better use.

Kabuto's would have been one of the best if it wasn't placed in the middle of a fight.

I liked the Nagato flashback and the Madara and Hashirama backstory flashback. They were well done by Kishi. Kudos to him.

As much as I dislike Minato, everything in the past with him and Kushina is lovely. Deidara's brief background is a close second though. Always wished we'd seen that properly. Sasori's was fantastic and absolutely filler for some reason.

Kiba & Chouji also had really good ones to my knowledge.
