Just in terms of moveset, way they play and the character themselves.
1. Snake Cloak Kabuto
Mainly from Generations, having my favourite character playable was finally a surprise reality and although his moveset was very awkward and somewhat weak, I worked at it and found a way to use him. Mixing his grab with his better combos and timing that amazing Ultimate Jutsu just right? Perfect matches. He's fun in Storm 3 too but my favourite character by far.
2. Ino Yamanaka
I have been using this strategy since Storm 2 and it STILL WORKS. Ino has been an underrated fighter since day 1, her combos are surprisingly awesome if used right, her grab is perfect and her entire moveset is just full of unexpected hard-to-read movements. You could go for an UJ and the enemy not even notice til it's too late. My strategy is to throw poison and then stall for time, let the poison slowly sap away at them until they're forced into close combat. Now of course they think they have the highground forcing me to use my combos but the grab 9/10 times straight up rejects this and her combos (combined with that nasty instant awakening) make her a mean contender. She's awesome and i'll use her in every Storm game.
3. Mizukage Mei
Another surprisingly boss character I unexpectedly found in Storm 3. Having seemingly overlooked in her introduction game, Mei has some nasty combos. Her jutsu is devastating and hits even on the floor and those combos UGH THE COMBOS.
4. PTS Chouji
Undoubtedly the weakest character in the game. No question, but actually- this is what made him so fun to play. Slow combos, a weak range UJ and you had to work really hard to pull off combos or the grab but that made him an underdog, and one that people constantly underrated. And that's how i'd win. With a lot of work I worked little details out like his jutsu that actually hits even if you're blocking. Hugely useful and since so few people knew the little details like that, that gave me the edge.
5. Hanzo
Sometimes considered a cheap character- I do not care. I LOVE HANZO. The moveset the series gave him is genius and really creative, Ibune is fun to use and UJ is just perfect. As my 2nd favourite I will use him whenever I can.
