Favorite - Sasuke.
Been my fav character since day 1,9 years ago.Cool,badass,smart,genuis,talented,elite,top tier,powerful solos,kicks ass,has the best battles,powers,character design,he's interesting,complex,heroic,courageous,and epic.
This "truth" was lies of Black Zetsu to manipulate and use Ashura riencarnations/Uchiha,but Madara was the one who fell for it more than anyone and cause the most damage because of it Believing in the lies,"truth",then he used Obito,who he taught the lies,"truth" too.Then Obito further caused chaos because of it.They both didn't realize they were wrong until they were about to die.
Meanwhile the lies Sasuke was told by Itachi was way more believable than the tablet,considering Sasuke saw Itachi kill their parents and was shown with Tsukuyomi of him killing the all the other Uchiha's.
Then once Sasuke heard of the truth from Tobi,he went to each of the people who also knew the truth,questioned them and learned more - Danzo,Itachi,Hiruzen.Futhermore he revived Orochimaru inorder to revive the Hokages so he could get the answers to all the questions that he had.
So for the pursuit of knowledge in which Madara/Obito wanted and what Sasuke wanted - Sasuke wins.He found things out,the whole truth,understood it,and changed.It didn't take death in order for Sasuke to learn the truth,acknowlege his mistakes and better himself,and that is yet another way in which Sasuke is better than Madara and Obito.
Infact,Sasuke himself saw the tablet,and was aware of it for years.
Yet he didn't base his life on that "truth" - granted he didn't have the Rinnegam so he couldn't read it fully,but neither could Madara who had EMS when he decided to carry out what was inscribed on it - The Infinite Tsukuyomi and whatever else.
Sasuke on the otherhand didn't completely follow what Itachi,the most important person to him,the closest person to him,had said.He willingly went against it.

I'm on mobile and clicked Madara first by accident then i clicked Sasuke thinking it would switch over to him.Then without thinking i entered the vote and noticed that Madara's bubble was still filled.

lol, not a chance. Sasuke is surely a well written character and had interesting development, but he's far from being best character in terms of depth quality. The bad quality about his character is, he doesn't learn people's mistake; particularly Itachi and Madara.
His particular bad quality part is his revolutionary goal. He had literary learned nothing from what Itachi told him and Kabuto, that's he's a failure and that doing all the work individually leads failure. He didn't learn anything from hearing Madara (the most evil character in Naruto) eventually knew the IT was never the actual goal towards peace. He learned nothing from Indra's history with his brother, Ashura, from the Rikudou.
That was at that moment is what made me think his character had gotten very poor. As Madara described him: he's just a brat with revenge issues.
Madara is the best written Uchiha and character in the manga.

I edited my comment and added more facts,perhaps you should take another look.What Sasuke learned from itachi was to not put yourself above others.Sasuke was willing sever all his connections,all his bonds and sacrafice himself so everyone else could live in peace like Itachi did for Konoha,except Sasuke would do it on a much larger scale,he would do it for everyone.
He Planned on throwing away any personal peace he could have so everyone else could have it while Madara and Obito wanted to forcefully put everyone into Genjutsu,fake peace,and it turns out there idea of Infinte Tsukuyomi was a lie in which they were being used,and everyone would turn into White Zetsu and be used by Kaguya,who history has deemed as the greatest evil.
Sasuke learned so much in such a short amount of time,and changed to the good side.Madara and Obito spents years,decades being bad,believing in the wrong thing and being in the face of death is a major part of what changed them.
Sasuke mostly himself changed,notice on chapter 698/699 Sasuke himself is going over everything.Naruto is not talking to him,guiding him over to the right side like he did with Obito,nor is Sasuke dieing like Madara,and is just now accepting Hashirama.
Sasuke learned from Itachi.It just wasn't what Itachi wanted him to learn,and even so within 2 or 3 days later Sasuke had realized the truth and was back on the good side.Sasuke went above and beyond what you deemed as bad qualities and personally has shown that he's better than Obito and Madara.

Madara came back focused on finishing the project of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and all those who stood in his way were destroyed. Madara proved that he was on a completely different level than anyone, to the point where Hagoromo himself needed to divide half of his power to stop him. However, you still proved that no one can stop you from activating Infinite Tsukuyomi, the very long plan it took you to accomplish.

Where did you copy and paste that from?It's very well done,but i doubt you made it yourself judgeing from the length of the comment and the time you posted it,which was a mere 17 minutes after i posted my comment above.
My comment should have taken atleast 5-7 minutes to read if you look at it thoroughly and looked back at my previous one,and think it through,and ten minutes wasn't enough time for you to make your above comment.
I would definitely make a Sasuke post like that from scratch myself,but i'm on mobile and that would take to much time,and i'm currently at the begining of part 2 rereading chapters i haven't read in awhile.Once i finish i will have a better understanding of the story and be able to say things with more accuracy.
Show Sasuke's greatness with more accuracy,which is alot considering he has greatness throught the entire story,so it takes more work than to describe Obito,and Madara. That post was nice to read though.
Here's abit of Sasuke.
Sasuke lost his whole family from his older brother murdering them,when he was 8.He never had any of them train with him,teach him,etc,as he grew up,even when he had his family they barely spent time training with him.

Sasuke mastered fire style jutsu on his own at 7,by 12 he could perform all his clans Jutsu even without any formal training.He learned it by himself.

While the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan has only been achieved by Madara and Sasuke.Sasuke had all of these mastered by 17.
He also possessed knowledge of the world's history in which only a few know about - The Truth of the Uchiha Massacre,Itachi's life,Hashirama and Madara's story,the founding of Konoha,The Uchiha and Senju's history,Ashura's and Indra's,The Sage and Kaguya's - the start of the Shinobi world.
Sasuke didn't need to experience war,etc to understand it,he had the love of his clan,and had them all taken away.In order to avenge them he did all he coukd to gain power,and defeat those who caused them harm,even turning the world against him.
After searching for and discovering more truths Sasuke now knowing Konoha's history,undertanding what Villages are,Shinobi,why Itachi gave his lofe for Konoha he decides to protect Konoha,and become Hokage.Sever all his connections,sacrafice himself so he could bring true peace in the world,in reality,rather than fake illusionary peace.
Madara brought peace to the world at the cost of forceing them into Genjutsu against there will.

Itachi, because he never let any amount of pain deter him from his path. And he arguably had to deal with more pain than any of the others.

What makes a well written character? Its a simple question.

People say Madara is only power nothing more. Clear Bullsh1t, because if anyone who truly reads the Manga would notice Madara has every set of what makes a well written character. I will prove that each point.
Personality
Madara as child was developing greatly. The latter showed great care for his brother and future. And like Hashirama, he wanted same peace as well [

].Point is, Madara developed from the very nice person, into a pure evil who shows no mercy and respect for his own allies and racist towards Senju. Character development basically.
Appearance
Appearance matches his personality and background. In a warrior suit reflects to the war days he was born into, and portraying him as war lord as he was leader of most powerful clan. Other than that, the hair reflects to the old days. The outfit rather matches him completely.
Background
Born in the days of endless war where he cannot spell out his surname. Losing 4 brothers in vain. Losing his best friends for the sake of his clan. Losing his precious little brother in cold blood. Losing the respect of his clan despite his warning in which became true. Losing the Hokage seat. His background was truly sad as the man lost everything he had. All he could trust with is himself.
The background gives explanation on why Madara became evil due to Shinobi system. Once again, well written character.
Mindset
Every well written character has to have a good mindset to match their other sets. Madara has that as well. We know what it is.

I would like to believe that you did create everything you've posted yourself,but there's doubts,and i had posted my comment with already having checked to see if you had already had everything laid out in a prevoius thread but there was no such thread.Perhaps it was deleted,but i don't see why unless people were trolling.
Well hopefully you are indeed being original and are posting only your stuff,if so then you are showing that you are one of the smartest people on this sote,and can intelligently show facts.From reading your post i'm liking Madara more but i cannot put him above Sasuke,that's like going against the manga itself.
A couple things you have yet to mention are two of the reasons why Sasuke is above Madara - Battles,and Powers,they both have intelligence,personality,interesting mindset,good appearance,but Sasuke is better in all these aswell.
Also his connection to Naruto beats Madara and Hashirama's.Both Naruto and Sasuke grew up alone,so they naturally have an understanding of each other.We've seen their rivalry throughout the whole story,saw them work together and go against each other many times,and how everything came full circle.
At the begining despite having something in common which most people don't know of and can't truly understand since they haven't experienced it themself - growing up alone without a family,they still didn't acknowledge each other.After having spent years going to the Ninja academy clearly knowing of each other,they were put together on Team 7.
Over time they became closer from being on Team 7,training,working,and fighting together.Saving each others lives,etc,then splitting apart,having there multiple battles and then Sasuke finally acknowledged Naruto and completely opened up to him.
We find out they both acknowledged each other from the start but hid it away from the other,and over time showed their respect.
What we've gotten from Sasuke,was quality and quantity greatness,be it development,battles,intelligence,etc,and for those reasons i put him above Madara.
Now if you say to you,Madara is the best then fine.But you outright claim Madara is the best written which is the source of this debate.
