Actually, I was pretty on top of it. I got the N64 the year it came out, same with the 360 which I actually got the month it came out.

I only got caught up with my generation of consoles when I bought Xbox xbox 360.

Well that's the second console I got and it came with FF8 and a demo with Tomb Raider and crash bandicoot.

But as a kid playing FF8 I think it developed my decision making and strategizing skills. I had to actual study the tutorials to understand how it works. I had to have been like 6 or 7. So it was kind of tough but helped shaped who I am. I actually remember replaying it years later and realizing I didn't understand a lot of what was happening in the story lol. But I beat it, a feat only few kids can accomplish.
