When I got my brother into it, it took him about 20 episodes to get into it. Yes just watch until episode 20 at least, that is where the plot begins to pick up.

Mine too i really like the music as laying down each captain i swear i've watch that fight 30 times

I think my favorite is byakuya vs Ichigo or Ichigo vs Kenpachi, or ichigo vs Aizen. ANy fight with ichigo in it really. While he is not my favorite character he has the most interesting fights
