I find myself leaning towards Nara Shikamaru, mainly because he tends to show that it's not all about power, but also intelligence. Sure there are times when power can overcome strategy, but most of the time, Shikamaru's strategies are rather successful. He shows that in the ninja world, being able to outsmart the enemy can prove just as effective as out-fighting them.
