I want to know what your favorite Call of Duty game is. I split mine up into 3 different categories.
Campaign: Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013)
Multiplayer: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012)
Extras (Survival/Zombies/Extinction): Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - Zombies (2012)
Now let me explain:
I chose Ghosts for campaign because it was pretty awesome. It let you get a lot more hands on and I just liked the story plot. I hope they will make a part two because it leaves you hanging at the end. I also like the whole stealth thing, which ghosts are supposed to be. I will admit that the campaign of Modern Warfare 2 was pretty good as well. I'll put that at #2.
Now for multiplayer, I chose Black Ops 2. Let me explain. To me the maps are really nice and I also like the whole futuristic aspect of the game. The guns are pretty good and you don't have to go search for people on huge maps like you do on Ghosts.
Finally, for Zombies. I chose Zombies as my favorite extra because Tranzit is flipping awesome. I think they stepped it up way more from Kino Der Toten on Black Ops. I like how it's not just one big place. You can move on a bus from place to place and it also makes it easier to get away from the zombies.
So those are basically my choices. Now I want to hear from you. What is your favorite COD game and why?

Well, my favorite COD game overall is World at War.

With the sheer awesomeness that is a World War II campaign, I thought they did an excellent job portraying the War to end all Wars. The Pacific campaign was fantastic, as it demonstrated the "samurai" mentality that the Japanese still carried, as well as the hardships the American soldiers had to face in an unfamiliar area. The Eastern front is always awesome, as it is great beating down "ze Third Reich" from the Russian aspect. It was a very historically correct game, and I learned a lot from it, and it also gave me an idea of what war used to be like.

The multiplayer is fantastic. It is extremely well-balanced, the graphics are great for its time, and the maps are perfectly designed. Whether you want to get a vantage point with a Kar98, or charge head first with the legendary Trench Gun, World at War's maps allowed you to do all of it. Even now, modded lobby's are under control, because enough people wanted to still play seriously. On top of all this great stuff, Tanks were readily available, making it (so far) the last Call of Duty game to feature vehicles that could be used by any body on the map (tanks).

Now, World at War had it all. The campaign, the Multiplayer, and the co-op modes. But what really stood out was its introduction of Nazi Zombies. After beating the campaign and unlocking this extra mode, one could hardly keep their excitement when they got to kill Nazi's one more time. And it only kept getting better. Legendary maps like Der Reise (my all time favorite), and the classic Nacht der Untoten, led the series into a new aspect of a third sector to the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of duty 4 modern warfare.

After that, I played them with friends up to ghosts of course and disliked all of them.

I went and got 5, bo and bo2 because the zombies franchise is amazing. I have hours upon hours of zombie gameplay and not a second on multiplayer because it sucks ass.

Someone explain to me why using a rifle how its meant to be used, is nooby??

Modern Warfare 2 was the only addition the series i've ever even bothered with.

And that was probably the high point of the series, trashy franchise.

Black Ops 1 for Zombie.
Mw2 for multi-player.
Black Ops 2 for Campaign

Haven't played Ghost and probably don't plan too.

Campaign - The "Modern Warfare" games had the best storyline by far. But for it all to make sense, you needed to play the ones before it. But Ghosts was a pretty awesome stand-alone campaign, with a decent story. So my vote is between "Ghosts" & "The MW Series" (if that counts as one).

Multiplayer - COD4 or Ghosts. COD4 has the best maps & guns, but sometimes felt a bit sluggish. Where as Ghosts still has a good variety in the weapons, but the game feels a lot quicker than previous COD games (especially on Xbox One), which I personally prefer.

Extras - Easily "Zombies" on Black Ops 2. They made the zombie maps 10x better than in the previous COD games, and lots more to do in them. I found on previous zombies that it got quite repetitive, but thanks to all the little details they have added to the maps, they feel a lot more action packed.
