Post your favorite characters here. At what point did you know they were your favorite characters? And was it because of their skill in battle or the background story? Then do the same for your least favorite.
Favorites:
1. Neji: My all-time favorite. His fight with Kidomaru is when I knew that he was my favorite. It's as if he was set up with the exact opposite of him, yet, he still won. I wasn't a fan of his background story. But his skill as a shinobi was great.
2. Itachi: I believe the fight with him and Sasuke set me on the Path of Itachi. His fighting style was impossible. But it was also his background story that made me like him. But it was also his background story that made me realize that he was such a flawed character without a sense of what should have been done.
3. Kakashi: Kakashi, overall, is an incredible character. He is incredibly smart, and he's incredibly talented in ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. I knew he was going to be my favorite with his first fight. I don't know a lot about his background story, though.
Least favorites:
1/2/3. All of Team 7 (excluding Kakashi, of course). To be the main characters of the entire series, they are literally the worst characters in the entire series.
Naruto: He was incredibly stupid. With EVERYTHING he did, he had to have help. Which, I'm sure, is the premise of the entire show--to not be alone like he was. But there should be a limit. It's not just help from others. He had to have help from clones, frogs, Kurama. His ninja way was stupid. His fighting style wasn't good.
Sasuke: To begin with, he went from hating his brother and wanting to kill him for 9 years. And MAYBE 2 days after actually killing him, he places blame on the village for him killing Itachi. Maybe months after wanting to destroy the village, he wants to kill the Kages? His development as a whole was just incredibly stupid. Then the asspulls he received was unnecessary. Why did he and Naruto literally need to be gods of the entire show? It would've been more credible if they'd remained at Hashirama and Madara's level. No one would've actually been able to compare them anyways.
Sakura: Everyone knows why everyone hates Sakura. She is "incredibly stupid." She spent the first part of the series being absolutely useless to everyone in every situation. She was made to be a joke during the Chunin Exams when she fought Ino. I mean, I'm not even sure what happened during her fight with Ino. I thought she was going to be something after seeing her and Naruto fight Kakashi, but I was wrong. All she was good for was punching Naruto, which was so pointless. And she proved to be useless once again in the fight against Madara, when she pointlessly rushed in to hit him.
