I'm not sure if this would work, because:
I moved/put another layer of earth on the previous earth, making you or unable to come up since the roots don't reach the ground anymore or being forced out of the ground making my move succeed.

I can freely move through the ground at very high speeds, I moved further from the crater that was made from your attack, then I came out and performed Kirin. You have no time to do anything since its really fast and we're long range... It doesn't kill you just scratch your knee and you can't walk. >:] Good match, thanks.

There is a tsunami-like effect, from short to long range, putting a new layer of soil over the whole battlefield, as it states in the description.
Meaning there aren't any roots in the new layer of soil, making you less free to move. =O
