Ok if u notice Itachi says he didnt trust Sasukes power and he might have been able to change Father and Mother.. I think Sasuke might need Orochimaru to revive his parents so he can find out the truth about their clan and their village. I mean wasnt Sasukes dad the Leader of the Uchiha at that time, Or atleast the police force so he would have been leading them into a Cou so maybe he wants to know why??? IDK but what do you guys think?

My thoughts is that its the whole uchia clan that he wants to revive( could explain turning the war in sasukes favor) Its my only explanations at the moment

Well i agree partially..
Look at what itachi said, it's in the text..
"but now i feel that you may have been capable of changing father and mother.. of changing the uchiha" he is looking for his parents of course but he also will raise the rest of the clan.
