Chapter I: The Last Bastions of Humanity
Available at the beginning of Arc X: Heavens Descended
Arc X is a 'Flashback', detailing events that have already occurred from a renewed perspective. Flashback Objectives are isolated, mission-like tasks that take place during the time skip, the 2 years following the Cataclysm. These are often small-scale and are used for present day context but due to their potential to disrupt current timelines, they have a strict set of rules that must be abided by or one will be forcibly removed. These rules are listed below:
The event is divided into 3 phases, each marked by a series of NPC posts. The first phase revolves around each Bastion's struggles before the disaster. The second phase, triggered after each unique Faction requirement is achieved, is set around surviving the collapse of the moon and the massive Cataclysm that occurs after. The third stage is triggered only after each Faction leader has acknowledged the Cataclysm based on the results of their efforts. The third stage is also largely NPC driven with a majority of it being posts from either of the leaders' POV's during the aftermath.
Note: Though Objectives are structured like Missions, they are different in that they cannot be submitted for Kumi or Mastery but will be awarded either Favor or Disfavor as well as Kumi of the appropriate amount and unique Artifacts at the end of Phase 3. Gaining VIA is also disabled.
Ideally, this event will span 2-3 weeks in the Ninja World, requiring active participants to move the story forward.

These rules are listed below:
- Bio cannot be in use in the present day unless permission is allowed.
- Each objective will be isolated to a specific landmark or region and therefore, must not contradict one's bio history.
- Unless directed to or it is said to be allowed during an objective or phase, fighting is not allowed and will automatically get one revoked from the Objective.
- Unless directed to, battle with Major NPC is forbidden. Attempts will trigger permanent damage and result in a failed attack, removing one from the event.
- Any permanent damage and interactions done to bios ( this extends to actions/dialogue with Freehold and other faction members ) is lasting, being part of the current arc. This means should one gain a scar/curse or negative relationship with a NPC, this will not change in the present day.
