Do you remember Sasuke's Speech to Orochimaru before he killed him?

It went something like:
"The Snake moving along the ground on its belly, looks at the sky dreaming of soaring above and then looks to the baby bird in the nest which would eventually become its predator and rule the skies"

Orochimaru will finally have a good counter to this
"I am no longer simply a snake, i'm a dragon the greatest creature who rules the skies and now yet again you are my prey"

Then Sasuke talks about his Susanno saying
Everyone knows that the noble Knight is always the one who slays the Dragon, no matter how hard you struggle the outcome of this battle is fated, i've already won.

Kabuto killed the Great Snake Sage (if i recall correctly) to prevent anyone else from learning the technique

Orochimaru's only way of achieveing Dragon Sage Mode is to absorb Kabuto not to mention while he was, wherever he was im sure he knew Kabuto would continue/further his research and all of the progress Kabuto made would become his. Basically Kabuto was training on the behalf of Orochimaru

Also Sasuke is going to see him so he might offer a unconscious Kabuto who could easily be taken over and make orochimaru jump several tiers in strength

Yeah i was just getting carried away with my theory because seeing Dragon Sage Mode again but the perfect form (jiraya and Kabuto both had imperfect Sage modes in my opinion)
