There he was. The zombie who had just finished his midnight snack. A young girl, lying dead in the middle of the abandaned road. The zombie looked at me and then started to sprint. I turned around and ran as fast as I could. I kept loosing my footing a few times because of how dark it was outside.
I tripped over a wooden board and saw the Zombie closing in on me. He sprinted faster, yelling and moaning like every Zombie you see in the movies. I looked to my left and saw a crow bar and picked it up. Basic Zombie Killing Weapon. I got up fast and as soon as the Zombie was about to try and bite me, I hit him hard in the head. His head flew off, splattering blood everywhere. I felt relieved and scared after doing that.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Oh thank god your still alive!!!" It was Haruna, panicked yet relieved after hearing my voice.
"Where are you? Better yet. Where are we?" I asked looking at the zombie i had just killed.
"Well.....actually we're not supposted to be here" She said " Somehow, from what Demetri said, we were supposted to where all of the other Destined Ones are, but we ended up in the Infectuous Dimention."
"Infectuous?" I asked under my breath. "What do you mean by that?" After i asked the question, I heard noise in the background, saying 'Give me the damn phone!' There was a slight silence on the other end of the phone for a minuete.
"Irina, were coming to get you. Stay where you are and keep your cell phone on. Oh and don't try anything stupid that could cost us our lives." Demetri said hanging up the phone before I had time to speak.
I sat in a ball, waiting for the others to show up. It got very cold and very quiet fast. Sometimes I could hear something snap, break, or make alot of noise behind me, but when i turned around, Nothing. I have this fear of people standing behind, looking down at me or breathing on my neck. I kept turning around, thinking that a zombie was gonna sneack up on me.
Finally, after what seemed like an hour, Demetri, Haruna, and Felix, pull up in a huge black hummer with machine guns attached to the roof of the car.
"Hey, need a lift?" Felix joked as I got in the backseat.
"Haha very funny Felix." I said sarcasticlly to him.
"Enough guys, we can't be fooling around. We have to find a vortex and head to Addictus." Demetri said as he started driving fast down the empty road.
"Take a chill pill Demetri. We found Irina, so the vortex should open around here somewhere in any minuete." Haruna said rolling her eyes.
"Wait what do you mean by that?" I asked aload.
"It means that in the event that we are seperated, we're stuck where every we are until we meet back up with each other," Felix said " Then the vortex will open itself somewhere close by and we can be able to move from dimention to dimention, or world to world. However if we travel through time, we must have our guild with us by our side. If we don't have Demetri beside us, we will slowly start to die, unless we are able to find him in 24 hours or less."
"And how exactly do you know this, Felix?" Demetri said, stooping in the middle of the road. Felix pulled out a small handbook from his back pocket.
"I read your little handbook. Stole it off of you before I went through the vortex. Then once I landed here, I found Haruna and told her about it, just a few minuetes before you found us." Felix said, giving Demetri a big 'smile'. Demetri looked pissed but then started laughing.
"Well that gets that off my chest" Demetri said getting out of the car, still laughing."It would usually take a whole day to explain what Felix just mentioned. Thankfully, he reads Latin perfectly."
"That was Latin?" Felix said dumbfounded as he was getting out of the car. Me and Haruna followed and we saw the same vortex appear right in front of us. Demetri looked at it for minuete.
"Ok ladies you first." Demetri said. Haruna didn't hesitate this time and just ran straight trough the vortex. I followed after her, waiting to see what more images or memories are in there.
"Irina" said a faint voice as I saw the inside of the vortex.
"Huh? Who's there?" I said looking around.
"Irina, don't be afraid, Im your Ancestor, Melanie." she said as the colors of the vortex turned white and a girl with long, black hair and a beautiful white dress looked at me.
"Ancestor?" I asked looking at her with jealousy and confusion. She walked towards me and gave mea hug.
"Yes, before you found out that you were a Destined One, I was one of three others Demetri guilded" She said giggling "You could say were slightly related."
"Where am I now?" I asked her looking at the white, empty room.
"Your dream." She said to me in a soft voice.
"Dream? You mean im asleep right now?" I said still looking around.
"Yes but your about to wake up here in a few. I just came to tell you that when you sleep, you will end up here. In here we can talk and discuss and I'll help you out with anything." She said. Suddenly, she kissed me on the forehead and the white room vanished before my eyes.
I woke up to see a blue sky and a small cloud above me. I got up and saw Demetri sitting, or meditating on a rock a few feet in front of me. Haruna was asleep on my right and Felix was asleep on my left.
"Oh good your awake Irina." Demetri said, not moving an inch from his spot.
"Yeah im awake. So are we where we're supposted to be now?" I asked getting up and walking over towards him.
"Yes we are." He said getting up and walking towards a balcony a few feet in front of us. It took me awhile to realize that we were on a roof garden as I followed Demetri to the balcony. Roses were everywhere, bushes and trees were trimmed and potted as it smelled like a flower store. I looked over the balcony and saw a bunch more gardens and lot of people everywhere. Most were training, flying, or getting ready to travel somewhere. It was breath taking.
"Welcome to Addictus, The land of the Destined." Demetri said smiling as he looked down.
