The war was finally over. The 'Juubito' had been defeated and Madara had been taken down. The members of the Shinobi Alliance were now celebrating Uzumaki Naruto like he was a God. He had lived up to the 'Reincarnation of the six paths' title that had been given to him.
He smiled as they threw him up and caught him much like the way the konoha villagers had done after the end of the pain fight.
“It's finally over” Naruto thought to himself as the rain began.
“The rain is signalling the beginning of a new era in the shinobi world” yelled an unknown shinobi in the crowd causing a reply of “YEAH!!!!” all over the alliance. With that, the shinobi then proceeded to leave the battlefield to their respective villages.
Naruto also delighted about going back home suddenly pauses in shock as he remembers something. He then proceeds to yell:
“HINATA!” causing everyone to stop in shock.
A soft “Y-yes N-naruto kun?” could then be heard from the crowd. Naruto follows the voice and finds Hinata who looks a little shocked.
“Hinata” Naruto started “I have to tell you something” he continued as the rain became a little heavier now.
“Naruto kun…i-its beginning to rain a l-little hard right now. Y-you know t-that right?” Hinata said as she smiled and put her hand over her head while closing her eyes.
Meanwhile, the members of the Shinobi alliance had all frozen in their steps…They all wanted to hear what the savior of their world wanted to tell the Hyuuga heiress.
“What does Naruto want?” Ino asked to nobody in particular.
“Who knows? Maybe he wants to thank her” replied Sakura in answer to Ino.
“I wonder” Tenten then says to no one in particular.
A smirk from Kiba is replicated by Shikamaru which then causes a confused look from Temari. “What's the smirk for?” she asks.
“That’s because they know what's coming next” replied Shino.
Further meanwhile, whispers of “What does Naruto sama want?” could be heard from the female kunoichi's of the Shinobi alliance while baritone whispers could be heard from the men.
“Hinata” Naruto continued in a soft voice drawing attention back to hinata and himself. “I have to tell you this and you need to hear it.”
There was another moment of silence as only the rain pouring heavily could now be heard. Everybody wanted to hear this.
Hinata's heart seemed to beat faster as she stared into naruto's blue orbs. A light “Eh?” the only reply she could give but her body language showing she wanted to listen.
“I love you!” Naruto started. Resulting in another “Eh” reply from hinata.
Not understanding the 'eh' remark, naruto looked down shyly and began rushing through:
“I want to tell you why I love you and you need to hear it….I-I t-think I began falling in love with you from after the fight with pain but I wouldn't allow myself to truly feel it until today. I was always thinking ahead….making most of my decisions drenched with fear…but today, because of you…what I've once again learned from you; every choice I made was different and I became strong enough to protect everyone. Hinata if not for today, if not for you I would never have known love at all…..” He then pauses to look up at hinata who is now looking at him through teary eyes. He raises up a hand to stroke a tear off her right cheek then continues:
“So thank you for being the person who taught me to love….and to be loved.” He finished
A roar rises from the shinobi alliance when Naruto is done. “N-no w-way! T-that was f-from N-naruto?” stuttered sakura before fainting. She is followed by Tenten who is then followed by Ino who nosebleeds first before fainting.
Elsewhere, a grinning Kiba says happily: “Way to go Naruto! I have always been a Naruhina shipper since the beginning isn't that right shino?? Shino?? Oi shino when I talk to you, you…” but then kiba pauses as he sees something horrifying. Beside a sobbing temari was shino.
“WHAT THE HECK? SHINO ARE YOU FREAKING CRYING???” he yelled.
“N-no! That's b-because… I got s-something in my eye” replied Shino.
Meanwhile, a shocked hinata couldn't stop her tears. They were pure tears of joy. She wasn't sure anyone had talked about her like that before…She looked into his eyes and could only see sincerity! “N-naru-to k-kun, i-i….” her stuttering was back with a vengeance but naruto cut her off.
“You don't have to say anything hinata!” he says in a small voice before moving closer to her slowly lips first.
Hinata was overjoyed! Her tears seeping out the corner of her eyes as she closes them and awaits to feel naruto's lips on hers. They then share a kiss. A kiss so romantic it knocks most of the female members of the alliance out.
Naruto then grabs hinata's hand and says: “let’s go home together hinata” with which she replies a soft “Hai!”

I've always thought that when that time comes where Naruto needs to clear things up with hinata is near which led me to write this.
