Fanboys making you disslike a character.

When i first started visiting the base (around 1 year ago, before i made my acc ) I was a REALLY big fan of Itachi.
I liked his character, his fighting style, and his role in the story. Just everything.
But then came the fanboys...and slowly but surely, the character i once liked became annoying.
The first thing that started to annoy me was this :

Itachi fans using this manga ''proof'' that Itachi is stronger than Hashirama, and therefor stronger than Madara, Naruto and Ems Sasuke.
Qutoes like '' Totsuka speed blitz gg'' or ''Finger genjutsu gg''.
And the just overall overrating of his abilities. I can only hope that when Itachi said in the manga ''You overestimate me, in the end, i only failed'' I can only hope that this was Kishimoto speaking dirrectly to the fanboys.
This thread is troll bait, i know. I just seriously had to post this because it's been bugging me for so long. Stop the needless wankin!

It seriously sucks that my once top 3 fav character has been ruined by the wankers .
Does anyone else feel like i do?

A character has nothing to do with the fans. Either you like the character or you don't. Trying to make excuses and say "you guys made me stop liking him", is only showing that you were weak and only a follower.

I used to like Sasuke and Itachi i had respect for those characters. But with the dickriders making stupid threads i hate them so much. The fans ruin the likability of characters. They never make threads about any other character, just sauce and itachi.

If you truly adore a character, you won't mind what the lot are yapping about. Take me for instance, I'm a Sasuke fan, and thus I see a lot of bullcrap written by other fans that want to my me punch my screen, but I don't give a ****, I'll just watch my boy fight to the end.

actually no people can really make to dislike a character or anything for the matter just by being annoying with it and not everyone will want to be associated with that crowd, OP makes valid points.

Ah, the psychology crap (not as an insult).

Reread what i said. The character itself has nothing to do with the fans. If you are a follower of the fans who like that character and hence why you like the character, then that is your fault for being a follower. Psychology is something that can be controlled with the human mind.

There is no problem with that, buy YOU and I know very well it does not go like that. They wank the character beyond believe and pit them against others in order to instill the masses. Its almost embarrassing truly.

I love my characters & i'm loyal to them , lucky for me I don't mind the fans in here & don't ruin anything ........I enjoy Tsunade outside NB , I just can't enjoy here that's all.

ah that is true. It does kind of get annoying. I mean i guess i'm probably one of those fanboys, that make people hate Hashirama (though its funny how those people are the ones that tend to underrate Hashirama), or Tsunade. But the problem isn't always the threadmakers. Its also the "popular" crowd on the base. I can make a Hashirama thread talking about him and going into depth..... and it all gets ruined because a popular member says "Hashirama wank detected". Even though the purpose is just to talk about the character.

No, that is most certainly not the case with this one. It's not an excuse, this is seriously how i feel. What's best, liking a character while being unable to admit any kind of flaws, or liking a character despite his flaws. It wasn't something about Itachi himself that made me annoyed.
