Mito was an Uzumaki who developed a seal with the same healing feats as Hashirama, Ashura's transmigrant, and we know Uzumaki got their sealing talent from the Sage and their healing feats from Ashura.

The second person to master the seal was a descendant of Uzumaki and Senju. Byakogou was meant to be used by people with the talent for healing and the body to control chakra to the extent they can heal in a similar manner to Ashura.
