[PC] Fallout New Vegas Help-

alright, so i wasn't sure if i should post this in the IT section or what, but i've tried bloody everything and its still being a pain in my ass.

I just Bought Fallout: New Vegas Ultamite Edition from the Steam Summer Sale a few days ago for like 10$ and i set everything up it was all running perfectly. I even got to Doc's House and then i thought "Well it's all working time to go ahead and close it down" so i did and then i thought "Maybe i should get some mods, but i should at least finish the Tutorial first" so i Re-opened the game from steam and it opened the Launcher i pressed play and it went through all the credits at the begining then i decided to start the new game again because it hadn't saved my previous start up, but when i skipped the Intro Movie [because i've seen it a dozen times] it went to the loading screen and it loaded for like i dont know a half a minute and then it stopped Resopnding, i mean windows didn't even give me the choice to wait for it to start again it just crashed. Now i've tried everything to Reinstalling Steam and F:NV to trying to ad the "missing" .dll but nothing and i mean nothing has worked and all the places i've looked if someone has asked this same question there are no answers, now i'm wondering do any of you guys know what the hell is going on?

also on this same computer i had a pirated copy for a little while just to see if i wanted to buy the game and well i kinda fell in love with it [just like skyrim] and it was running perfectly fine on my computer. so i thought "well i should buy this so i can support Bethesda etc etc" so i bought it and this is were its gotten me

ps i know for a fact it has nothing to do with my system specs. cause i can run skyrim on High perfectly fine, and i ran F:NV before so yeah, any ideas guys and gals?

Hmm, I don't game on PC much but I am a Computer Tech...have you tried contacting Bethesda though? That or Steam's customer support? They could give you better options than random people in a Naruto forum.

i sent in the question to Bethesda and im waiting for the email still, and Steam didn't help at all also, i have posted this in sevreal fourms and haven't gotten any answers this is kinda like a last ditch effort xD

The only time it's crashed on me is from a mod. So I can't help ya.

Oh yes! You said you had a pirated copy? Did you delete all the game data and mods in relation to that copy? Two copies like that could clash and cause problems.

yeah i made sure to remove all of the files even the saved games

Hmm honestly Idk what to say man, Steam can have a lot of problems occasionally. Sorry I can't help you more as I'm very tired :/

don't worry about it, i'll figure it out eventually, it might just be something wrong in my .ini file or something random like that [im an experinced modder and mod maker for games like skyrim and what not so i know a thing or two] but hell i cant figure it out yet x.x

Remove everything from comp and especially registry, and try again.

Whenever something doesn't work. Clean the slate and start a new.

This will sound ridiculous and I don't mean to insult you, but have you tried simply rebooting your PC? You'd be surprised how many people forget about that and only try the complicated procedures.

Woahhhhh, no bad panda! You never mess with the registry unless it is an absolute must.

This will sound ridiculous and I don't mean to insult you, but have you tried simply rebooting your PC? You'd be surprised how many people forget about that and only try the complicated procedures.

i gave it a try once already but not since i reinstalled it again, maybe i should just try again. i really hope steam didn't forget anything like it did whit Final Fantasy Online xD

Its the mods. Especially if you install a shader or whatever that plays with the graphics and shadows (I forgot what they are called).

This site has helped me a lot of times (dont say that its pirated though)

Install their mod manager so you can keep track of your mods (steam mods should also show up) also the order of the mods matters.

Missing dll should be based on shader scripts last time I had that problem.

I know about NMM, and all of that, but i dont have a single mod on my computer for Fallout New Vegas UE right now. I Crash on the Loading Screen after the Intro movie, so i removed the Intro movie because i thought that was what was causing it so i removed the sMainMenuMovieintro= Stuff and renamed the .blk or what ever and i thought that would fix it but aparently it had nothing to do with the Intro Movie, because when the loading screen comes up it just says "Fallout: New Vegas Has Stopped Responding and Windows is looking for a Solution." then it just crashes.
