Why are we talking about how the Byakugan is better than the Sharingan when the Sharingan produced Kamui. Kamui single-handedly brought down Konoha's strongest clan which was considered stronger than the Hyuga at the time. If this information doesn't shut down the idea that the Foddergan is better than the Sharingan then I don't know what will

Because no Hyuuga at the time had either Boruto's Dojutsu or the Tenseigan to their name. And since only two Uchiha with Mangekyo managed to take out the rest of the clan yes, Dojutsu evolutions make a massive difference.

Sharingan has potential to master all jutsu, Juken has potential to counter all jutsu, Hyuga and Uchiha are equal opposites not Senju and Uchiha.

The Sharignan becoming the Mangekyo Sharingan is different from a Byakugan becoming the Tenseigan. We don't even know what Boruto's dojutsu is or what it entails.

The Sharingan becoming the Rinnegan is the proper comparison to the Byakugan becoming the Tenseigan.

It's not Byakugan that's being compared but Byakugan users. What makes them capable of challenging Uchiha is Juken. Sharingan masters all jutsu, they destroy all jutsu.

Byakugan was superior as they're more efficient and effective. then the series started focusing more and more on Sasuke but he has to scale with Naruto.

Naruto has this all powerful creature living inside of him so they have to give Sasuke something that can match that.

Now that the byakugan is getting attention back again, you call it "false hype"
