Your theory may be right but in fairy tail timeline there is.. an huge gap. after zeref's invasion and acnologia's rampage until the start of the series there isn't any info about what happened, the last thing known is Acnologia's rampage, and then makarov birth date. 400 years of nothingness, all that we know is that there have been Zeref whorshippers during that time.

I think it is possible that Natsu has been sent back in time before, however, I doubt Natsu is actually Acnologia. I mean he goes waaaay back, etc. and seems to be Natsu's sworn enemy. Why would Acnologia be so evil, despite humans, etc., if it is Natsu.
