I don't think so, probably another dragon's flame.....then again you could say Natsu lost control using dragon slayer magic and killed his parents and himself on accident.

I still wanna know more about Layla. Is it safe to say she died from opening the eclipse gate?

The chapter was very good till Hiro pulled the Happy trigger (again).
That was a lot of revealing in one chapter, though we kinda knew some of it, now I'm waiting for why Layla opened the Eclipse door (which means she obtained all 12 keys at a time).

I will have to read it again to understand it completely, but it pretty much explains a lot of things like the 400 year old gap problem and Layla's connection.

Doubtful as Zeref merely said that dragon flames killed them, which could have been any dragon. Considering Zeref considered Igneel a friend because he loves humans, it's unlikely he was the one who killed Natsu and his parents.

It's been a while since I actually rated a FT chapter in the poll. So the foreshadowings Mashima threw at us are indeed interpreted correctly like Layla's death & opening the door, Dragons taking them into Future from Past for killing their terrible legacy, Acnologia.

I wonder what are Gray's reactions when he learns it. Body-Book Ling Magic?. Well, it was foreshadowed in Tartarus arc.

Rogue is from 400 years ago too......So then there is a connection between Shadow-Skiadrum-Rogue.

So what all Zeref did in these past two chapters is to see how strong Natsu become and to find out will he able to kill him for good or not?.

So now Zeref is gonna be all serious?!.

I think there is a break next week.

Yeah I might have jumped the gun on that one, Igneel didn't hate humans he even didn't kill Natsu even after knowing he was the END.

Because Igneel Loved Natsu. Btw...we haven't learned everything from 400 years ago. There are still some parts Mashima didn't showed. I guess he is saving them when Acnologia enters the war.

That was great. The whole Layla connection is fine, but for some reason I don't really care for it. I didn't expect it to go like this, Natsu is going to return, but what is he gonna do? The next few chapters will be very interesting. Also is it safe to say Natsu could have killed zeref there? If zeref dies Natsu dies, so how is this gonna work out then? Damn.

Now I am thinking at the end of war....Gray might become evil as something very far darker incidents might happen to him if we take that little foreshadowing & hinting Mashima did in past.

And how Igneel fought END 400 years ago?. Fought against Baby END?. Or it is a completely different scenario?!. Seems like Mashima left this red-herring for a good like he said in volume 47.

Well, did you want zeref to die already? That was obviously for plot that happy did this.

Other than that. Great chapter. 10/10 for me. It's rare that I give a 10 for FT, even for very good chapters (somehow, I always tend to find something I didn't really like in it ^^") but this one, well it deserved it.
