[Predictions] Fairy Tail Manga Chapter 359 Discussion and 360 Predictions

I liked the chapter. However, I thought that the demon attacked too quickly. Natsu and his team arrives and a few minutes after entering the house, BOOM an attack. And it was pretty predictable that he would breath in the explosives to save everyone.

As for Minerva, I think once she receives her demon powers, her and Erza is going to have a rematch. Erza's 2nd thing vs Minerva with her new demonic powers.

Ugh, I just hope these fights go somewhere and for the plot sake, someone die, they're starting to get generic with fighting the Dark Guilds. Need to spice it a bit, a death or two, couple of twists, maybe Igneel coming to the rescue. There needs to be a major twist, Natsu needs to be knock down a peg or two, so he has the opportunity to train and get stronger for upcoming fights. I hope the fight Natsu is in, make him realize he needs to talk to Igneel about "E.N.D", and journey with Happy, and him, to find Igneel, and maybe Gildarts returns with Intel on Igneel. Just saying for the plot sake, it doesn't end like the rest of the Dark Guilds they fought.

I don't like how the Goat-man can regenerate. It seems like a cop-out ability.
The fact that humans can be turned into demons is very interesting. It shows that people could possibly retain abilities they had prior to becoming demons such as Silver's Demon Slaying Magic which if he was originally a demon such just be called Demon Magic. Kyouka also seems like the leader or the penultimate leader of Tartaros.

Nice chapter overall to get pummped up but I'm a bit mixed feelings about minerva becoming a demon.

Also, Kyouka... don't like her/he/it... Seems like a cross bread between a lame Power Rangers Hero, Villain and Freeza from DBZ... >_> Really really weird to see her face in close up... *shivers*

I have a hint END is the former head of the council... The whole "Eye patch" thing and the bat on the head and the hate towards FT... and this whole council hunt... I think END faked his death.

There was already a twist with Jellal being part of the magic council I think if there's another evil member, then the mangaka is running out of ideas, Although it would be cool to see, I feel like if the mangaka did this, he's adding ideas he had from the two other dark guilds, and that wouldn't make this arc unique... it would be to much repetitive crap. Although we know Fairy Tail is going to win, I wonder how many losses will they have.

I think the guy's fire is going to be different, i dont know, i don't think he'll win easily but he'll somehow win. Like that kin of purgatory, the fire god slayer or something

Zancrow was a real fire mage, as it stands now Jackal isn't a real fire mage, he uses explosions which cause fire.

He probably infuses his magic with something and make it explode, or a magic pulse to a object and it explodes. Is it me, or does Jackel look kind scared/angry at Natsu, maybe he know he's Dragon Slayer, and that the Demons are actually weak to Dragon Slayers?

We all know Natsu is going to win, but I want know how, and it better not have anything to do with the "Power of feelings" because that's starting to P*** me off.

FT is driven by the power of feelings, the bound between comrades, family ties, the "my friends are my family" kind of deal, etc etc. Its what it is and it won't change anytime soon as its what makes it...well...it. Its like saying you're tired of Luffy's recklessless or tired of Naruto's Rasengan variations...

I'm not so sure Natsu will win though. It can happen that this demon pulls something similar to the other one and sacrifices himself to defeat them. In that case, no one wins.

What bugs me is why they want these old people. I mean...none of them were powerful in any way as far as we know. I mean, council...ok. high authorithy of magic and what not...cool...and? I mean, they've been proven useless every single time they were needed and didn't have anyone with true power amongst them. So why destroy them? If you want to win a war you start by strategically using the element of surprise to take down the key elements in your opponents strategy. The strongest links. The council and these old people are the weakest from that point of view. Any of the guilds has more effective power and will prove a bigger deterrent than they. The alternative is some sort of secret or some weird magic that council members might know that would stop or hinder the demons... but what? I'm sure the council has many secrets and all but nothing that would rival the power of guilds like FT. Vendetta? we can't forget that if all those demons were once humans, they might still hold some personal, human grudge against the council. It may be not that "specific" but more about personal vendetta. Or Zeref might simply have created these demons and infused his will upon them or anarchy and chaos and nothign will bring more chaos than normal people thinking that they are defensless against the mages. That suddenly, Mages have a green card to do whatever they want without paying dues to anyone, even if the council was useless to ensure that though.

actually it makes perfect sense

the top hit list of Al Qaeda aren't top military officials, it's not the 4 star AF or army general and it's not an admiral ... the top is reserved for the president, Obama is their no. 1 target (if we go outside the realistic) probably also the PM and such.

The she-cat did 300 ish score in the MPF...they said that was enough for her to be a squad commander. Now, if you consider that gray, erza, mirajane, minerva, makarov, jura, lax us, wendy, cherry, lyon, etc etc etc are all more powerful than she cat lady... and one demon seemed powerful enough to take the 3 raijinchu and a laxus... and they are 9 of them... well, then you can easily deduce that in terms of real power, the council wields none. If they were themselves powerful, ok but apparently they aren't.

even so, the Council still passes laws (presumably) and has high authority throughout the FT world, there are more kinds of power than brute force, there's also soft power

the CEO of JP Morgan or CNN doesn't command any troops but they obviously wield a lot of power, add legislative power to that and some limited military capabilities (ie the council) and the power only scales upwards ...

that's why I think the move made perfect sense

i enjoyed this chapter 5/5 for me.... this showdown between natsu and jackal gonna be epic, moreover, natsu is my favorite mage and all hence, he is really strong ... but we also can't be underestimating jackal.
