It was pretty awesome! And we finnaly get to see some action from the cobra!

Seeing the return of Cobra was pretty cool. The only dissapointing part was how easily Natsu was thrashing that dragon.

He was getting his ass handed to him by Future Rogue with minimal difficulty.
A dragon, and not just the magic should be very strong. Not to mention Natsu should be pretty injured/tired already.​

Really disappointing. So, one of the wizard saints can't even make a scratch and the natsu that merely survived F-rogue's attack and simple got a few bandages from a first aid kit can 1-hit-bring a dragon down? Also implies that the other 5 dragon slayers have brain issues for not tryin their magic already. 5 cause cobra wasn't there. I was also disappointed by the way Sting and Rogue killed their parents. I know it's neccesary for the story to show they are not as bad as we think, but it was exciting to have BAD guys walking around. Now they are just laughin stock!

this is le me overcoming the whole dragon slaughter to bring a few predictions and some serious questions. All dragons will be killed/injured severly. Zilconis (the emerald dragon) will be definately be dispelled by Wendy and possibly aid our heroes after struggling with the reality he was summoned in. I am not sure if the dragons will die, what F-rogue says now is making everything complecating. Only dragons can defeat acnologia means that the dragonslayers already tried and failed. Saving the dragons F-rogue summoned + the dragons that are hiding in the world might be the key defeating the final boss. Or they can use the gate again =/!

Anyone wonder how loud can natsu shout? Did Mashima just imply that a single Natsue from the sky can be heard through the sound of war, city crumbling, dragons, explosions and everything that's goin on? What kind of lungs are those D:?

Pretty good chapter a lot of people will probably get confused as to why Makarov wasn't able to do anything but the point was completely stressed in this chapter that only dragonslayer magic can affect dragons, it doesn't mean Natsu is stronger than Makarov it just means his magic is effective against dragons.

Golden Week always changes the date releases of mangas. Frankly highly likely this chapter was for this and the previous week, so we will probably not get another FT chapter this week. Same for Bleach, Naruto and OP. It has happened before we got their releases in the weekend instead of during the week, however it then counts for two weeks, right in the middle of them.

Your first comment is completely in correct. Natsu's magic is specifically meant to kill dragons. From their very nature they have a large advantage over normal magic, no matter how powerful it is. Also they just started fighting the dragons a chapter ago. Unless you actually have experience in slaying dragons, unless you're out of your mind you're not just going to attack them head on. The only dragon that was really fought in the past was Acnologia by FT and that one was in a whole other league. So he really shouldn't be used as a reference. In the end you actually have a bunch of rookies who have no idea how to really slay a dragon.

I predicted long ago that Sting and Rogue didn't beat their dragons and they implied that themselves ages ago, so you are extremely late with your laughing stock when it was actually nothing more than a confirmation of something that was almost certain months ago.

When Natsu fought Cobra, he released a high-pitch scream, so it's nothing knew and he has dragon lungs remember?

Natsu didn't defeat that dragon yet. it was just one hit. and btw dragon slaying magic IS MEANT to kill dragons... of course it will have effect. also in a previous arc he roared so loud it could be heard in a whole town...

well I was always on a neutral side how did they kill their dragons, but now seeing how it was, it's kinda funny how they acted all high and mighty about killing dragons. xD

btw I'm the only one who thinks no dragons will die and Achnologia will show up in the end?

When they first said they killed their dragons I already had a very strong suspicion as they became members of Saber 7 years ago, meaning they killed their dragons when practically still being children. That's just stupid. However then Sting clearly said in his fight with Natsu that he did not beat his dragon, he killed him. On top of that Igneel also said he wanted to see what the dragon slayers Vicelogia and Skaedrum 'created' are worth. If they did the same as Igneel, there wouldn't really have been a reason to say that, unless they did something Igneel, Metallicana and Grandene didn't do.

So yeah it was pretty much certain that they let themselves be killed. It was just not certain for why, though that it was to make them stronger was an easy deduction.

well i was lucky. I randomly decided to go on a manga website today to read some dragonball manga and look what i find, a new fairy tail chapter =D. Awesome chapter. But im really curious as to how Wendy is going to defeat her dragon :erm: I mean she strong but not crazy strong.
